Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The Farm Loop Route

A little different kind of post today.
There are LOTS of pictures - 16 of them.
Thought you might like to walk the Farm Loop with me today.
We start out walking down my street after turning left out of my driveway and down the main street in town.
Half way down the street we turn right and walk past the post office on the right side.
Around the bend and up the hill.
At the top of the hill is the school and we cut through the parking lot and turn right out the other end.
Then down the hill and past the diary farm on the right.
We walk past the church on the left and the barn I like to take pictures of is down there on the left behind the trees.
Around the bend and up another hill.
Then we reach the top of the hill.  The long blue building is on the right behind the trees.  Just beyond that is Farmer Georg's house which I didn't take a picture off.
Then we start down the long hill.
At the bottom of the hill we turn right and walk past Farmer Bills farm.
Then we walk up the hill through a wooded area, hoping that the bear doesn't decide to cross the street as we walk by.  : )
We come out of the wooded area and walk down past some houses.  At the very end of the picture on the bend is where Cow Number 29 lives.
Then up the last hill - a little one but it is steep.  We come back to the main road in town where we turn right.
Now we are on the home stretch as we walk down the main street.
A left turn off the main street
and a quick right turn back on my street and my house is down there third on the left.
The Farm Loop is only a 4.2 mile walk
so we  pass up my house and walk around town again to get in a 5.5 mile walk this morning.  It was a beautiful sunny morning and the temperature was 50 degrees.

Hope you enjoyed walking around the Farm Loop with me today.
See you tomorrow.

Happyone : )

Thank you so much for sharing your walk with us, Karen. I loved it. By Sunday, God willing, I will make my goal of 2 miles. :) Then I will work at decreasing the amount of time it takes me to walk it. After that I'm not certain what will happen...snow probably. :-)

Have a great weekend!

I enjoyed our walk but for some reason it didn't feel as nice and cool as you said!
