Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Kayaking

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿

A sunny morning walk and it was 60 degrees.  Went to the post office first to drop a Netflix in the slot and then had my walk around town, the two cemeteries and the ball park loop.

As I was walking down the main street in town a parade of blue county dump trucks came through town.  I counted 10 of them.

Didn't see anyone else out walking and just the usual birds and rabbits were around and I heard a big old bull frog in the town pond.

I found a penny.
Walked 5.2 miles.

Right after breakfast we loaded up our kayaks in the back of the truck and went to Savage River Reservoir for a morning of kayaking.  It was a bit hazy but a beautiful day to be out on the water.  Here's a few pictures I took while paddling along.

We thought about going up to HT in the afternoon but ended up staying home and doing some work around the yard.

Supper time we went down to LaVale and ate at Wendy's.  We both had a spicy chicken sandwich which we haven't had in quite a while.  A stop a Kohls and I came out with a new blouse for only $4.95.  We had $14 off card and had 30% off on top of that.  Then to Martin's for food shopping.  When we got back home and got the food put away we sat out on the porch reading until it got to dark to read.

Watched a little television and had our ice cream and now here I am.  No time to visit  you all this evening but I'll catch up with you all tomorrow.
Just about bed time now.
Pleasant Dreams.

I was in the middle of leaving a comment and my computer decided to restart. I'm not sure what all I was saying, but I think it had to do with the pretty sights you saw on your kayak. I know you must be happy to be gliding around the lake once again.

Wonder what project the county has underway that had those trucks moving. We've daughters/sons-in-law who are real fans of kayaking! The picture on the water is lovely!
