Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A little more work up at HT

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
60 degrees this morning when I head out the door on my walk.  It was very windy and with some sun and clouds.  A couple of times the sky got really dark and I thought for sure it would rain any minute and I would get soaked.  Even felt a few drops of rain but that was all.
I walked the Farm Loop.  Haven't been around that way lately and it was so nice to walk there again.  The cows in this field are in the barn for the winter and they are let out in the spring.  There were a few little ones and I got a picture of Rosie here.
Farther down the road at Farmer Bill's place Faith was out by the fence.
When I got back to town, I took a loop around there and then back home.
I found a penny.
Walked 5.3 miles.

While I was out walking, Ken made a trip to Lowe's to get two more tubes and cement for the other two footings.
After breakfast we just walked out the door to go to HT to work when Ken got a call on his phone.  Ron who is a friend and our neighbor up at HT needed help getting his tractor in for service so Ken hooked the trailer back up to the truck and the two of them brought the tractor in for service.  I stayed home and got some house stuff done.
On the way back about 11:15 they stopped by the house to pick me up and we continued on to HT.  Ron went home and we got to work.  Not long after we took a lunch break.  This was my simple lunch.
We got the last two tubes filled with cement for the footings and back filled around them and got 6 more bolts in the bracing.  When I mentioned a while back that we almost had the bracing done I didn't realize how much more we still had to do.  Didn't take any new pictures because things don't really look different.  We are looking forward to finishing up the bracing so we can begin on the floor.

Just so you know that I do my fair share of the work too, here's a picture of my work boots and work gloves.  : )
Just finished washing up the supper dishes and ready for our usual relaxing evening at home.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Nice that you were able to help a neighbor out, and still have a bit of time to do some work at HT :)
Will you have solar power at HT when you're done?

Enjoy your evening.

Glad to know that you were able to get more done up at HT! It is a blessing when rain holds off like that so you can get work accomplished.
