At 7 degrees below zero I figured I'd better have another walk inside!! Did my usual 6 miles in three sessions.Mid afternoon it started snowing again and it's supposed to stop sometime tomorrow.
Got started on this weeks cleaning. I do some each day and by Thursday the house is clean and then it starts all over again next Monday. I used to clean the whole house in one day but I always start out good and by the end I'm cutting corners because I'm just sick of cleaning. I do a better job if I just to some each day. I guess we all have our own systems. : )
I sewed the squares I knitted for the baby blanket. I like the colors but don't like the knitting. It looks too plain and amateurish and I just wouldn't like to give to anyone so I threw it right in the trash. It's the two rows of squares in front in the picture. The squares in the back are the weave-it squares and I'm continuing on with them.
I'm going to start a knitting project later watching television. It is something new for me and tomorrow after I've given it a try, I'll let you know how it is coming along.
It is half price pizza at Brenda's so we cleaned off the truck and hit the snowy roads. We really like pizza. : ) This is the main road, side streets are snow covered.
Hope you are staying nice and warm. Though I do enjoy winter, I think I'm about ready for spring.
A happy day to you.

I haven't driven on snowy roads for years. It used to really unnerve me and that is one reason we moved first to California and then to Arizona. Can't wait to see your new knitting project!
It was -6 here this morning by the time we checked. No snow for us and the storm that we were supposed to get tomorrow will miss us, I hope. You know, we missed this last blizzard, too. Southern Maine got 20+ inches; we got 2. I was so relieved. A gal can only take so much. It will be spring there before it is spring here.
Can't the knitted squares be used as a dolly blanket or as a hot pad? Hate to see all that work tossed.
It would be difficult to throw away those pieces that weren't pleasing to you. We are our own hardest critics, though. Half-price pizza is tempting! Being able to get out in this kind of weather will keep cabin fever at bay.:-)
Oh yes! I would definitely walk inside too if it was 7 degrees here! But today it was about 57 and sunny and the daffodils have poked up! :)
We love pizza here too, and that was our meal last evening. Pizza with homemade crust. And you are right about cleaning some every day. Slow and steady wins the race.. then we don't run out of steam!
What a shame throwing out the knitted squares, did you have enough to make into a knee blanket to give to a rest home or hospital, maybe. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.
I do enjoy your snow photo's, we never get snow like that here, usually just a dusting if it settles at all.

Oh yes, it is much warmer to do your walking inside.. The snowy main road looks bad to me.. I would not go out, but that is wimpy me.. I love the quote, have a happy day!
I had to smile about "I'm just sick of cleaning." That makes two of us! :-) Stay warm and be careful on the ice! John
That's a shame about your knitted squares.
We got our first touch of winter precipitation in the form of sleet last night. The roads are covered in an icy layer which has pretty much brought things to a halt around here. Supposed to get much colder this week too.
I'm glad you were able to get out for some of that half-price pizza. I don't think we're going to get out for several days. Ice and mountain roads are not a good combination.
Pizza sounds so good! I was watching the news tonight and the cold weather has been just awful for so many places! It's even fairly cold her now. We've had a couple of weeks of spring-like weather which was nice but cold is back! Won't be long and we'll all be seeing signs of spring! Stay warm and be careful out and about!
Pretty picture on your front porch. Sorry you ended up pitching the knitted squares but glad you didn't have more than that finished. Seeing your roads, I would have rather stayed in than go out for pizza. I don't drive on snow-covered roads unless absolutely necessary; I leave that to Mike. Even then, I still don't like being out on them. For that reason alone I look forward to our moving back to Arizona. (In my defense, I had a very scary accident on icy roads the previous time we lived in the Midwest.)

My oh my the snow just keeps coming for you all. I'd stay inside too. Good that you have some activities to keep you occupied. You must really love pizza to go out on snowy roads.
House cleaning - not my favorite thing. But I get through it giving thanks for having a home to clean. We pretty much do it all at once but once we retire I think doing a little bit each day is the best idea. If I did that now, there is just not enough time after work, commuting, and fixing dinner.
