I walked around the farm loop. Waved to Farmer Bill as he was just coming out of his house with the two dogs, Oscar and Buster.
Some of the farmers are now working in the fields getting them ready for planting.
I only took this one picture this morning of the two geese here getting a drink. My friend Lin called and we talked for most of my walk. We talk while we are both walking. Always nice catching up with her.
I walked around town too.
Walked 6.2 miles.

I had just gotten home and I saw the mail carrier drive up the driveway and walk to the door with a package. I met her on the porch. I got my new rubbers to put on over my shoes. They make my feet look pretty big but the rubbers will keep my feet dry for sure.It is quite a job getting the rubbers on over my shoes and Ken ended up getting it done for me. I bought a few extra pairs of walking shoes a while back so I just put the rubbers on a pair of new ones and will just keep the rubbers on the shoes so I won't have to struggle with getting them on and off. Won't have to replace the walking shoes for quite a while because I'll only be wearing them in the rain.
In the package with the rubbers, what I thought was just a Tractor Supply catalog turned out to be their Spring magazine. It has articles about chickens, horses, farmers markets, cattle auctions, birds, cats and even some recipes. What a nice surprise. I look forward to reading it from cover to cover.

Haven't done much cleaning inside the house this week so went around in a whirlwind and got it all done today. At least all the major stuff. You know your house is just the right size when you can plug in the vacuum and vacuum the whole house without having to change outlets. : ) Then I got to read for a while. Made some weave-it squares too.
Driving by Deep Creek Lake and seeing all the ice gone makes it officially spring here. It was frozen most of the winter with a foot of ice.
Hope your day is a happy one and you smiled often.

Hooray for dry feet and the "official" start to spring.
Oh yes, your house does sound just the right size.
I smiled at your quote today. How true!
Your house must be just the right size or else you have a super long vacuum cord ...even I can't do that! Your footwear looks really good...things have changed since I last had a pair of rubbers.
I always enjoy reading the three things that you are happy about each day. That is a good idea. So here are three from me for today: (1) the beautiful spring weather we are finally having (2) a long walk with a friend tonight and (3) seeing all of the gorgeous flowers and trees in bloom. Enjoy your evening. Art
It sounds like Spring is on the way for sure! How good that you have shoes now ready for any rainy day!
You were very energetic today having that cleaning done. Yay for you! My house is in great need of some energy - applied by me.:-)
I am glad you will be able to keep your feet dry while walking. I didn't even know they made rubbers to fit over shoes anymore!
A small town is nice. My town that I left to move here was a little over 4,000. You know practically everyone in town and you care about their well-being and they care about yours.
I like the three happy things, and also the quotes-of-the-day.
I have never seen the rubber slip-overs before. How cool!
Those look like will protect your feet well!!
One outlet vacuuming - a dream come true!
TSC - one of my favorite places to browse/shop!
