Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The basement route : ) Happy New Year and Thanks

It's still snowing, very windy and cold here today so once again I walked in the basement.  This morning I listened to The Greatest Hits by Abba.  Thought maybe you'd like to see my walking route in the basement.  : )
I start out at the bottom of the stairs and walk down the hall here to the guest bedroom.
I walk through the guest room make a left and go through the drying room.
Then down the long hall way (laundry room is on the right, and Ken's train room is straight ahead.)
I turn left and it brings me back to where I started.
I don't just make loops around in the same direction.  Sometimes I walk the opposite way or make figure eights in the rooms.  Once in a while I'll stop and run in place or march.  At times I carry four pound weights and do biceps and triceps curls as I walk.
Though I'm glad I now can do the Leslie walking tapes and they are nice once in a while I prefer just walking listening to music.
Of course I would MUCH rather be outside walking but this will just make me appreciate my outside walks even more when I get out there. : )
I walked 5 miles.  That seems to be my limit at one time down there.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
I never did do any cross stitch yesterday.  I ended up reading the next book for the book club which is The Midwife of Hope River by Patricia Harman and find it very good so far.  The book club isn't till next week but the book is due on the third so I'd better read it now.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
Today I got my office all cleaned and neat to get it ready for my bulletin board.  I don't know why I thought my office had to be neat and clean for a bulletin board but I'm glad to have it done.

We are going to go out supper time for a pizza and salad at Brenda's and then stop at Walmart before coming home.  We need a few things and I want to pick up some colorful duct tape for my bulletin board which should be hanging up tomorrow.

A picture of the snow we are getting today.  I stuck my head out the window of my office and took this of our side yard with our shed in back.
Ken said the nicest thing to me this afternoon.  He came up from the basement and said, "I came to check on the sunshine and the only one I found was you." : )
 ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
We are not doing anything for New Years Eve.  Just a nice quiet night at home.
It has been quite a year of change for us.
Ken retiring, buying a house, moving to Garrett county and finding a great new church all of which was unexpected!!  It's been a joy living here, meeting new friends, walking in a new area, and having Happy Trails near and just enjoying small town living.  We thank God for our many blessings this year and can look back and see how He worked all things out for us. : )
I'd like to say Thank You to all of you who read my blog and for those kind comments you leave.  Thanks for sharing all you do on your blogs and even though most of us have never meet, Thanks for being my friends. : )  You make my life happier. : )

May you all have a happy, healthy and wonderful New Year.

At Home Today

The weather has turned cold again and this morning every thing had a coating of ice on it.  At 7:30 I decided to give walking a try,  bundled up and put the ice grippers on my shoes.  It was okay walking on the gravel behind the garage but when I hit the driveway it felt slippery even with the ice grippers.  I took baby steps down to the end of the driveway and just didn't feel comfortable so I went back in the house and walked in the basement. Today I listened to Bad Attitude by Meatloaf.  It has some good walking songs on it.  I walked five miles down there!!
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
The weather has been a roller coaster ride with temperatures going up and down.  It was misting out for a while and then we had snow flurries.  It looked like someone sprinkled icing sugar over everything and now it's just snowing.  And it's over ice so it's a good day to stay inside.

I got some cleaning done today.  Didn't clean the library where the Christmas tree is because I'll do that room when I take down the tree on New Years Day.

Ken cut a piece of homasote for me and I painted it blue.  I'm going to use it for a bulletin board in my office.  It's downstairs drying now.  I'll take a picture once it's hanging on the wall.  With a bulletin board I'll be able to keep things from crowding up on my desk.

I plan on doing a little counted cross stitch before supper.  Having the left over lasagna from the other day so no cooking for me today.  I'll just throw together a salad and we'll be set.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.
A happy day to you.

God is Good

It's a rainy day and all the snow is all gone again.  It's supposed to get colder later on and turn to snow.
I'm having a walk inside down in the basement today.

This morning at church Pastor Leatherman preached from Psalm 145, with emphasis on verses 8 and 9.

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion,
slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The Lord is good to all
and his tender mercies are over all His works.

This Psalm is overlooked a lot of times but now it is one of my favorites.
Verses 1 - 6 speaks of Gods greatness.

I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.

Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty,
And on Your wondrous works.

Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts,
And I will declare Your greatness.

Verses 7 - 10 speaks of God's goodness.

They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness,
And shall sing of Your righteousness.

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion,
Slow to anger and great in mercy.

The Lord is good to all,
And His tender mercies are over all His works.

All Your works shall praise You, O Lord,
And Your saints shall bless You.

Verses 11 - 13 speaks of God's glory.
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom,
And talk of Your power,

To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts,
And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

Verses 14 - 21 speaks of God's generosity.
The Lord upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.

The eyes of all look expectantly to You,
And You give them their food in due season.

 You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works.

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.

The Lord preserves all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.

My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord,
And all flesh shall bless His holy name
Forever and ever.

A blessed Sunday to you my friends.

Bible Cover

I was out walking at 6:45 this morning in the dark. I was wearing a VERY bright day glow green sweatshirt and the few cars that did pass me probably had to put their sun glasses on. : ) It was 32 degrees and windy and once the sun came up it was a pretty day.  I walked the farm loop and then around town.  I saw a couple of deer in one of the corn fields that now have no corn.

It was very quiet this morning.  Didn't see anyone.
Snapped these two pictures along the way, both in town.

I walked 6 miles.

Sunset: 5:01

The Bible cover I had for my old Bible is too small for my new one so we went out to get a new one.  I had seen them in Walmart so we went there first.  They didn't have any left.  Then we went to check in a little book store in Oakland.  They didn't have them either.  We didn't know where else to look around here so just came back home and thought we'd go farther afield another day.

When we got back home I checked my email and there was message from Vera Bradly telling about a sale on book covers.  So I bought a real nice one on line for a really good price.  : )

I took the puzzle apart and was going to start another one but never got around to it.  Ended up transferring more of my notes from one Bible to the other.  I made it to the book of Luke.

I made lasagna for supper and we plan nice quiet evening at home as we do most days.

Hope your day has been a happy one.

A couple of walks

A regular morning walk around the farm loop for me today.  20 degrees when I started out at 7:20.  It was already getting light and the sun came out after a few miles.  The picture is taken one and have miles from home and Farmer Bill's farm is up on the right around the corner.

Farmer Bill passed by in his truck and stopped to say hi.  He was excited because today he was getting a 'heat system' installed in his house.  He said he will no longer have to get up early in the morning to stoke up the fires!!!

I'm on my way back to town here.  I thought this looked pretty with the sun shining on the town.  Where I was walking, the sun hadn't come all the way up over the mountain yet.
I walked around one of the cemeteries and down the main road for a while and then turned around and walked home.

I walked 6.3 miles.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
Since it was such a pretty day Ken and I went up to Happy Trails this morning and hiked around up there for a while.
This trail here is on state land which our land backs up on.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤

One of my Christmas presents that Ken gave me was a new Bible (KJV).  I love my new Bible but I'm now in the process of transferring all my notes and underlinings from my old Bible to the new one and it's quite a job.  I've just finished with Psalms and about to start Proverbs.
It is like getting a new computer and transferring all your stuff from one to the other.

We're running out to Ace's Run in a little while to get a hamburger for supper.

Hope your Friday has been a good one.

I won: )

We had a very nice Christmas day and hope you enjoyed yours as well. : )

We started watching the movie, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World at 10:00 last night on television.   I don't know how many minutes the movie actually is but there were so many commercials that it didn't get over until 2:00 in the morning.  It seemed like we watched 10 minutes of movie and then 5 minutes of commercials.  We were hopping up each commercial and laughed because we were able to get so much done on the commercials.  I had never seen the movie before and laughed and laughed.  What a crazy movie!!  : )

After going to bed late I didn't wake up till 8:00 this morning and was surprised to see it snowing again.  Very windy too so I decided to stay inside and do the Leslie Sansone 3 mile inside walk.

I got a couple of jigsaw puzzles for Christmas and did one of them already.  Started it yesterday and finished today.
By lunch time the snow had stopped and the sun came out.  I had to return a book to the library so dressed warmly and walked to the library.  Told Ken not to worry if I didn't come home right away because I might go for a little walk.  And I did.  Walked about 4 miles around town.  It was so nice to be outside walking in the sunshine for a change.
Lucky me. : )  I won a give away from Nellie at Berries and More.  I received part of it today in the mail, this Tea and Teatime Recipe booklet.
I've found lots of things that I'd like to make and I think some scones will be the first thing I try.
Also part of the give a way was a subscription to Tea Time magazine.
Thanks Nellie, I'm so happy that I won. : )

It's been a nice day and hope you have enjoyed yours too.
Till next time.......
Be happy.

A white Christmas : )

I had a regular outside walk around town this morning.  Winter is here again.  It was 25 degrees and started snowing while I was walking.  It was very light and blowing around as you can from the picture.
I paid my horse friends a visit down by the Drane house and went up Spear Rd to see the cows up that way.  Passed by LC and friends but they were all toasty warm in their hen house.

It was quiet walk and I didn't see any one around.
I walked 6 miles.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
Looks like we will be having a white Christmas after all.  : )

We needed some food so off we went in the snow to Walmart.  Thought there would be lots of people there because of Christmas but it just seemed like a regular day.
Here we are turning up the street to home.
Our house in the snow.

A few of you have asked what Ken used to make the hooks for the back of the plates that we hung above the kitchen cabinets.
He used a little piece of styrene plastic, a small piece of coated wire, and Contact Cement.  He cut a piece of wire, made a loop, bent the ends up over the plastic.  Then dabbed some of the contact cement on the plate and plastic, waited a bit and then stuck it on the plate.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
In about an hour we are leaving for church for the Christmas Eve service.  We have an early one at 6:00.  Looking forward to starting Christmas off being thankful for our many blessings and thinking about Jesus. : )
Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15

A very happy and Merry Christmas to each and every one of you, my friends.
My Christmas wish for each of you is that (if you don't already) you know Jesus and accept His gift of
salvation.

Walk at Home, the Ball, Card, and a Surprise

I woke up to rain this morning and I just didn't feel like going out to walk and getting wet feet again.
My cousin Linda, made a suggestion that on the days I don't walk outside to try a Leslie Sansone ( Cheryl had suggested a walking tape too once, but I don't remember if this is the same person) walk at home DVD.  This morning I went on YouTube and found her complete 3 mile walk at home workout and did it.  I liked it a lot and felt like I got a really good workout.  Only three miles but she also uses light weights so the upper body gets a workout too.
The link to the workout I did today is HERE.
I also found a 5 miles walk at home one on YouTube too and will do that one next time.
Thanks Linda!!!  : )
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
The Nativity scene from yesterday is not in my yard, though I wish it was because I really like it.  I snapped a picture of it on my walk yesterday in a yard down the street from me.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
It has gotten colder during the day and the rain has now turned to snow, though none is sticking on the ground yet.

We've been home today and played a couple board games this afternoon - Sorry and Master Mind.  Both of these games we got when we were first married in 1972 so the games are pretty old. : )  I'm surprised none of the pieces are missing.

I got this Christmas card in the mail today from my cousin Patty (Linda's sister).  It looks very much like one of my horse friends from my morning walk.  : )  I love it.  If your reading this Patty, Thanks so much.
I got something else in the mail today that made me happy.  I read on Deb's blog a while ago that her favorite candy was Orange Sticks.  I commented that I'd never heard of them but they sure looked good.  So she surprised Ken and I with a box of them for Christmas.  As you can see from the picture, Ken couldn't even wait for me to take the picture before reaching for one.  I had one too and oh my they are good.  One is only 24 calories which is not bad at all.  Thanks so much Deb.  How thoughtful.  : )
Ken painted the red Christmas ball today.  I know some of you have been waiting patiently to see what this years ball would be.  For those of you new to reading my blog, every year since we've been married Ken has painted a red Christmas ball with some event that is memorable for that year.  This year has had many happy changes for us.  : )

So that's been my day so far.  It's been a good one. : )
Hope your enjoying your day as well.
A happy day to you.

Enjoy and remember

It felt like spring walking this morning.  It was 50 degrees with a slight breeze.  Didn't need any layering today.  It was cloudy and every once in a while it was a bit misty but not enough to get me wet.  Not much snow left now as you can see in the picture.

I walked the farm loop and then around town a bit.  Lone Chicken and one friend were out of the hen house today.  First time I've seen her in quite a while.  One of the farm ponds I walked by had quite a lot of Mallard ducks on it.  My three horse friends were out near the fence over by the Drane house.

Didn't see anyone else out walking but as I passed by a workman checking out the drains he said good morning and told me he sees me walking all over the place.  Quite a few people tell me that!!

I walked 6.1 miles.
Sunrise: 7:24
Sunset: 4:48

We haven't had pancakes for breakfast in a while so I made them this morning.

While I was out walking, Ken wrapped my Christmas presents and after breakfast I wrapped his.  We put them under the tree and are now all set for Christmas.

This afternoon Ken hung the blue plates above the cabinets in the kitchen for me.  Ken made some hooks on the back of the plates and tested them out by hanging them on a wall in the basement low to the floor for a while in case they fell.
I kept the plates in a group instead of spreading them out and will add more as I find others on our travels.  I like looking at them up there. : )
We've been home all day just enjoying time around the house.  It's nice to be done with all the Christmas stuff and now we can just enjoy it.

Hope your plans are all coming together as well and that you can take time to enjoy the day and remember that Jesus is the reason we are celebrating this wonderful holiday.

A happy day to you all my friends.

I sometimes think we expect too much of Christmas Day.
We try to crowd into it the long arrears of kindliness
and humanity of the whole year.
As for me, I like to take my Christmas a little at a time,
all through the year.
And thus I drift along into the holidays,
let them overtake me unexpectedly,
walking up some fine morning
and suddenly saying to myself:
Why, this is Christmas Day.

Morning walk and dropping off some goodies.

This morning I took a regular old walk outside.  Wonderful to get out there in the fresh air.  It was a warm 44 degrees, windy and cloudy.  I was actually glad for the wind because it kept me cool.  I would have been hot otherwise with my three layers.
I walked part of the farm loop and went to the school, but instead of walking down the hill to town and walking there, I turned around and went back the way I had come.  I did that because the two roads I walked on were clear of snow and ice and I knew it would be good for walking.  As I walked past here, I wanted to walk up the road because it looked inviting but there was a sign that said no trespassing so I didn't.
I met a man named Eric on my walk today.  He lives along the farm loop road and is Farmer George's son in law.  His Dad has the farm next to Farmer George.  Eric was walking over to check on his Dad and as I walked passed, he stopped to talk to me.

A new barn is being built along the farm loop too.  They are working on the roof here in the picture.
My walk was a tad bit longer than usual at 6.8 miles this morning.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
Didn't walk at all yesterday because we were gone all day.  Ken had a doctors appointment (just a check-up) back where we used to live and he dropped me off at my friend Mary Jo's house.  We did a little Christmas shopping, had lunch at Olive Garden and then went back to her house and had a nice visit. Nice to see her again. : )
Ken had lunch with a couple of old co workers, and then picked me up at 2:30 and we came back home.
No time to see anyone else but maybe next time a few of my old friends and I can get together somewhere for lunch?
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
Ken left to do some Christmas shopping of his own this morning.  I walked on over to Sherry's (hairdresser) to wish her a Merry Christmas and give her a card and some chocolate chippers.  I had an ulterior motive with the cookies though.  : )  Her husband is the one who bakes the other chocolate chip cookies in town and is my competition.  This is a way for him to taste mine. : )

Next stop with a pumpkin bread and a card was Bob at the tractor dealer up the road.  Bad news!  He wasn't there.  He has been let go, and the place is moving up the road about 20 miles to Oakland and there is a sign saying the store is for lease.  I left the pumpkin bread with the guy working there today.

Stopped in at the Dollar General on the way home and bought some little wreathes to hang in the dining room front windows on sale for 50 cents each.

Last stop was the library.  I gave them a card and some cookies.  When I walked in the door the librarian said,  "Oh Karen, I just put a book on hold for you yesterday."  It was next months book club selection - The Midwife of Hope River by Patricia Harman.

So I got little more walking in this morning.

This afternoon I plan to do a little reading.  I have a book to finish before I start on the one I picked up today.  I want to do some cross stitch too.

Hope your Friday goes well.

A good book and a nice outside walk : )

Guess what?  It was snowing this morning when I got up!!  This is 6 days in a row now.  I do like snow but it sure would be nice to see some sun for a change.
After breakfast I hit the track down in the basement and walked 3 miles.  This time I listened to Meatloaf.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
I read a little book with just 135 pages called, The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida.  It was an excellent little book.  It was written by a 13 year old with autism.  In the book he describes how his mind thinks, feels, perceives and responds.  It is a book of questions and answers.
It is a wonderful book for anyone who is trying to understand autism.
I really got a kick out of question number 45.
Why do you enjoy going out for walks?
My guess is that lots of people with autism like walking, and I wonder if you can work out why.  "Because walking makes you feel good?" "Because it's great being out in the open air?"  Both these replies are true, of course, but for me the number one reason is that us people with autism love the greenness of nature.  Now you might be thinking, "Oh, is that all?"  However, our fondness for nature is, I think, a little bit different from everyone else's.  I'm guessing that what touches you in nature is the beauty of the trees and the flowers and things.  But to us people with special needs, nature is as important as our own lives.  The reason is that when we look at nature, we receive a sort of permission to be alive in this world, and our entire bodies get recharged.  However often we're ignored and pushed away by other people, nature will always give us a good big hug, here inside our hearts.
The greeness of nature is the lives of plants and trees.  Green is life.  And that's the reason we love to go for walks.
❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤     ❤
I made some more chocolate chippers today.  This time they are for a friend I'll be seeing tomorrow. : )

After lunch I went for a little 3 mile walk around town in the snow.  I had to wear my snow boots and can't walk fast in them but it was so nice to get outside and walk if only for a little bit.
Snow on bushes in front of the library.
 Walked down a side road.
Walked around one of the cemeteries, one side which hasn't been plowed yet.  It was fun walking in the snow.  : )
I met Joe who drives the town pickup truck around checking things out that I see every  morning when I'm walking.  We always wave to each other but this is the first time we actually met. The truck now has a plow on it and he was plowing a parking lot.  I was walking past and he rolled down the window and we talked for a bit.
Back home again.
When I got back home I didn't feel like going inside, so I walked around the yard, cleaned the snow off the truck again, put some seed out for the birds and shoveled the walkway.

Once inside Ken made us both a cup of tea. : )

That's been my day so far.
Hope yours is a happy one too.

It snowing again. : )

Started the day walking 2 miles down in the basement singing Christmas carols along with Anne Murray.  : )
More snow today.
We went to Walmart again this morning and got a few things and also another mile and a half walking in.
When we got home Ken started up the snow blower and cleared off the driveway.  It certainly comes in handy around here.
I haven't done much today.  Read, and walked the rest of my 6 miles one mile at a time down the basement. : )  I did a little cross stitch too.

Oh by the way the basket of cookies yesterday was a big hit.  They all loved them and were really surprised.  When it was time to get our bill, Jessica, our server, said, "No charge."  When we tried to say that the cookies were a THANK YOU to all of you, she just smiled.

A happy Tuesday to you.

“What is the spirit of Christmas, you ask?
Let me give you the answer in a true story...
On a cold day in December,
feeling especially warm in my heart
for no other reason than it was the holiday season,
I walked through the store sporting a big grin on my face.
Though most people were far too busy
going about their business to notice me,
one elderly gentleman in a wheelchair
brought his eyes up to meet mine
as we neared each other traveling opposite directions.
He slowed in passing just long enough to speak to me.
"Now that's a Christmas smile if I ever saw one," he said.
My lips stretched to their limit in response,
and I thanked him for the compliment.
Then we went our separate ways.
But, as I thought about the man and how sweetly he'd touched me,
I realized something simply wonderful!
In that brief, passing interaction we'd exchanged heartfelt gifts!
And that, my friend, is the spirit of Christ~mas. ”

Still snowing

No morning walk again.  I think I just have to accept that there are going to be mornings here that I just can't go for a morning walk and on those days I will do my walking in the basement.

I baked Chocolate Chippers again this morning.  This time they are for all the people who work at Brenda's making us our pizza all the time.  We will be going there for pizza tonight (Mondays pizza is half price) and we'll give it to them.  I put four cookies in snack bags around some loose cookies in the middle.
After lunch Ken and I went for a little walk in the snow.  First stop was the library.
Then on to the Post Office.
From there we went to the Dollar General and then back home.  I left Ken at home and walked a little longer up the hill behind our house.  I couldn't walk far because I had on my snow boots and they aren't good for long walks.  It was nice to get out and walk even for just a couple of miles.

It has continued to snow here on and off all day and is supposed to continue through tomorrow.

This afternoon I'll be doing a little reading and some cross stitch.

Hope your day is happy and bright.

No walk, and a snowy ride to chruch

Didn't make my walk this morning.  I wimped out because of too much ice, snow and wind.  Picture on left is taken out the dining room window.

I have walked 3 miles down in the basement though.  I put on some Christmas carols and away I went.  I'll do the other 3 miles later on.  I know, I know I'm crazy.  : )

It was another snowy drive to church this week.  Church is just down the road here a few blocks.

On the way home from church we stopped at Brenda's for lunch.  I never get a dessert because I'm always too full.  So today I had dessert for lunch.  It's pastry filled with apples.  I know a bad thing to eat for lunch but it sure was good.
I took this picture looking out the window from our table at Brenda's.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:11

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10
Jesus was not born simply to be an educator, a miracle worker, a political reformer, or example but to be our personal Saviour. To save us from Sin, God's Judgement, and from Hell.
My heart is filled with Joy to have Jesus as my personal Saviour.   I hope that is true for you too. : )

A blessed Sunday to you my friends.

Another snowy day

I walked in the falling snow around the farm loop this morning and around town too.  It was 25 degrees and just a little breezy.  I wore my new rain pants and stayed nice and dry.
It was beautiful, calm, peaceful and the snow makes it seem quieter than usual.  What a joy it is to be able to get out and take a walk.
I didn't see any one else out.  I had the morning beauty all to myself.
I walked 6.2 miles - 12,292 steps.

Sunset: 4:54

The gift I received last night is this snowman ornament that was tucked inside
a cute snowman mug (the hat comes off.)

A nice cozy day at home today.  I had hot chocolate in my new mug and it tasted ever so good.  I added a few marshmallow too. : )

I got some reading done, worked on my counted cross stitch, and finished decorating the tree with tinsel.  Hard to get a good picture because of the glare from the window.

It's been snowing all day with a bit of sleet in there too.  Supposed to turn back to all snow during the night.

I'm off to eat my supper in just a little while.  Ken is making us nachos.  : )

A happy day to you my friends.

Christmas, my child, is love in action.

every time we give,
it's Christmas.
