Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Spring at the lake

It seems like spring arrived down here while we were away for those three days.  It was a beautiful walk around the lake this morning.  It was 59 degrees and very still.
Here's a look across the lake.
This picture I'm walking on the path by the trees in the previous picture.
One of the many fishermen around the lake this morning.
I zoomed in on him a bit.
I spotted a couple rabbits, red winged black birds and saw a heron again flying by with nesting material in her beak.  Stopped to watch a squirrel add leaves to her nest high up in a tree.

Quite a few people out on this beautiful sunny morning.  The only thing bad about nice early mornings are there are too many people at my lake. : )

Even the parking lot at the Giant was a beautiful place this morning.
I walked 6.2 miles.

Ken headed out to the commissary this morning and I'm at home doing laundry and getting some cleaning done.

Hope you're having a sunny day where you are too.
Happyone : )
A friend will joyfully sing with you when
you are on the mountaintop,
and silently walk beside you
through the valley.

Oh it's so lovely with the reflection of the blossoms on the water. Looks like the perfect morning! (Except for everyone else who thought so, too.)

You walked a 10K! Here, it has gone from late winter to late spring virtually overnight. Everything that blooms in early March, mid-March, late March, and early April has all bloomed at once!

Rain/overcast here. But so happy for you, that you have lovely spring views, in your neck of the woods!!!

Spring has definitely sprung at your lake and in a most beautiful fashion.
This time of year does have a way of bringing people out of the woodwork.
