Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A mid morning walk and chili

It rained quite a bit last night and it was still coming down this morning quite heavy at times.  I don't mind walking in the rain but there was some thunder and lightening so I waited till 10:00 and left when it was just drizzling out.

While waiting I made some Chili - for supper tomorrow.  Here it is cooking in the crock pot.

My walk today was around the lake again.  Didn't see many people about but did some wildlife and was able to get a few pictures.
A Groundhog trying to hide in the grass and weeds.
A couple of Mallard Ducks by the water.
A Heron standing in the stream just up a ways from the ducks.
I also saw four deer but didn't take their picture.
The rain pretty much stopped by the time I got to the lake.  I wore my rain pants and a hooded sweatshirt but didn't take an umbrella.

As always I enjoyed my walk around the lake.
I found a penny. : )
Walked 5.7 miles.

Ken and I went up to the Tractor Supply store again this afternoon to pick up a few things.

The sun is just now starting to come out and as I look out the window I can see a bit of blue sky.

Hope your Friday is a good one and you get to see some sun.
Happyone : )

the heart of those who travel the way with us.

Make haste to be kind.

No sun... Lots of cold rain and freezing rain and snow showers. Doesn't feel much like April. Are you feeling back to your old self? Sounds as if you are!

I really enjoy your pictures! It is amazing to see your opportunities to photograph wild life.

The chili looks really good! You might need to set an extra place at the table.;-)

Oh wow! Look at those comments. One of which says; "Very soon this site will be famous among all blog people, due to it's fastidious articles or reviews"

What some people will do, to build their blog's readership!!! -giggles-

But then, I guess his blog is SELLING something... Those "online games"...

But I'm surely NOT gonna' click on his click-able link!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that I am back to working in the garden my blogging has been a bit sporadic. Didn't realize I'd missed so many posts.
Your chili sure does look good. Lots of fiber in those beans too :D.
