I went for a walk first thing this morning and headed into town.
I walked around on the couple of streets that are the town and took a few pictures. This is the library.
A little shop along the main street.
A back yard garden.
I discovered another cemetery.
Then we went off to Annie's Kitchen again for breakfast. This time I had a blueberry pancake and remembered to take a picture. Here it is covering up the whole plate. It was just too much to eat and I couldn't finish it.
The two times I've ordered one the server has said, "You only want one?" It is hard to imagine eating more than one!!!
We brought a few items that were in the yard at the old house and put them here up at the top of the road up from where the trailer is until we decid where to put them. The fire hydrant I'm going to paint red with a silver top. That is how I remember them from when I was a kid.
We had the electric turned on at the meter yesterday and Ken worked on bringing the electric down the hill to the tractor barn and the trailer today. By the end of the day his mission was accomplished and we no longer have to use the generator.
I helped Ken as needed and puttered around on the land getting in some good walking steps. Walking down the driveway I saw a skunk walk slowly across. I was going to take a picture but didn't want to take a chance of getting sprayed.
By the way Beth from Canada, or if anyone else would like to know how to figure out your stride for a pedometer let me know in comments and tomorrow I'll post the formula for figuring it out.
We've had some supper out and now here I am again at MacDonalds. From here we have a stop to make at Lowe's and then a stop at the grocery store for some food to bring back to the trailer. Can't keep eating those pancakes for breakfast!! : )
So that's been my Monday so far.
A happy Monday to you.

You've had a busy, productive day! Glad you were able to get that electrical connection.
You have a lovely little town close by your land.
I am so glad you were able to get the electricity hooked up.
How fun it is to see the sights around your new place. That church is charming. I love to hear the church bells.
How wonderful that you have electricity now. Hope it's cooler there for you.
Sounds like a great day at your 'land'.... Glad you now have electricity..
Seeing a skunk made me think about all of the other wildlife that are probably living around your trailer...Bet you'll see lots of them sooner or later.
Have fun.. That pancake looks awesome --but you are right: that thing is HUGE.
Hugs,
Betsy
I really enjoyed your photography. My daughter now lives in Maryland with her family. Seems a beautiful state.
What a lovely road walk leading to your small town which has such beautiful buildings. I've never seen a pancake as big - it looks good though. Scottish pancakes are about the size of the palm of your hand. How great that you have now got electricity on your land it will make life much easier.
Oh I am so glad that you have electricity. It makes life so much easier. We don't have electricity at our cottage and it makes things a challenge, particularly the older we get. (We once thought it was fun.)
Beautiful country there...that pancake would be daunting!
On top of all the other greatness about your home-away-from-home place, there is a precious little town near by. You are so lucky, my Dear. :-) I'm so happy for you.
And the work just keeps coming along! Ken is a master of all he surveys! Super to have a handy husband, yes it is!
HAPPY FULL THUNDER MOON, July 3rd.!!!
WISDOM! Of asking for just the serving, which you want to eat. And which you know, will make you satisfied.
Oh sigh... If only everyone would eat out that way.
And eat-in that way too.
It's so much easier to stop when satisfied, if a second helping is not sitting on one's plate, saying; "Awwww come on. Just a few more bites..."
HAPPY FULL THUNDER MOON, July 3rd.!!!
What a nice little town and another great place to walk. I'm glad you only "saw" the skunk. My daughter's dog was sprayed recently and they had quite a time getting that smell off her.
yes please...post how to check one's stride. I think I know how (using the metric system) but it's good to check. Are you still liking your StriiV?
That looks like a really nice town. My brother and sister in law used to live near there, and I wish they still did. Now that is a man-sized pancake! Keep eating those everyday and you are going to have double down your walking miles! Art
