Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Sunday

The Lord is my rock,
and my fortress,
and my deliverer;
my God,
my strength,
in whom I will trust;
my buckler,
and the horn of my salvation,
and my high tower.

~ Psalm 18:2

This morning my walk was hot, sticky, quiet and still.  Only a few people were out.  I left a little earlier than usual but it was already 72 degrees out.
No special route, just walked down a few streets and along a couple paths.
The adjustment of my stride was all the the Striiv needed and now it is accurate.
That makes me happy. : )
I walked 5.6 miles and took 11,183 steps so far today.

I'll be off to Sunday school and church in just a few minutes.  When I get back from church we are leaving to go up to our land.
The next time I'm on line I'll be sitting in the MacDonalds parking lot. : )

Have a blessed Sunday.
God loves you, and cares about you. : )

  4. Good that you got the stride thing figured out. I could see you walking the extra miles just to be accurate and you're already walking a lot.

    Have fun up on the property. Do you folks have a generator?

  7. We just got home from being out of town for a few days and I heard on the news that Maryland had been hit pretty hard by the storms. I'm hoping that you are safe and sound and enjoying your time at your land.
    The new pedometer sounds great.
