Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A good hair day

This morning the temperature was 67 degrees when I started out walking at 6:30.  Some clouds and sun and it was quite comfortable walking.  I was still sweating after a few miles though.
I walked along one of my connect the path routes.
I didn't see many birds but I sure heard a lot of them.  Not just the usual morning chirping either.  I heard distinct calls and wish I knew which birds they were.

Hiding just off a path I could see a deer with her two very young babies.

More than the usual amount of people out this morning.  Walkers, runners, bike riders, dog walkers, kids on skate boards, and people pushing baby strollers.  It seemed more like a Sunday afternoon.
I passed by these beautiful cone flowers in a yard I walked by.
My steps for this morning walk was 13,168.
Sunrise 5:51
Sunset 8:35

I took a picture of the  one and a half BLT I had for supper last night.  I couldn't finish it all and gave Ken one of the quarters.  I didn't use the bread from the bread machine because the slices are just too big so I did use store bought bread for these.
Left for my hair appointment at 12:00 with those lemon cookies in hand.  When I arrived Cheryl was already waiting for me.  It seemed my appointment was for 12 and not 12:30 like I had written down.  oops!  I think having the cookies made up for it. : )  They seemed to like the lemon cookies almost as much as the chocolate chip but next time I'll bring the chocolate chips.
Meghan wasn't working today and I missed her.  I think she should check with me first before having a day off to make sure I'm not coming in that day! : )  Dana washed my hair today and she does a good job too!
Today I had my gray roots covered up and just my bangs got a trim.  I always feel great after getting my hair done.  Cheryl does wonders.

So now I'm home, just got the clothes off the line and have to go and fold them.

Tonight is pizza night!  : )

Hope all is well in your part of the world and that you're having a sunshiny kind of day.

Oh your favorite shampoo girl...yes, I love a nice shampoo as well. I'm going to give myself one shortly as I'm just in from mowing the lawn and feel as if I could keel over.

Hope that one day you'll get a picture of the twin fawns. I set out to learn birdcalls one year. I'm a poor student. The good news is that there are a lot of birdcalls on the web to listen to and compare. That's how I learned that I had a warbler in the yard.

My good hair days are few and far between so when I have one I shout it from the rooftop. LOL

I knew your cookies would be a hit!

Sounds like a very productive day... It does feel good after a haircut, doesn't it?

Enjoy your pizza.

Your blt's look just like they do in a restaurant with the colored toothpicks.
Those coneflowers are so pretty and cheerful looking.
Enjoy your pizza.

Such a good feeling getting your hair done - I go next Tues for my 6 weekly cut and blow dry. Your BLT is a really good portion - one of my favourite sandwiches too - I also love a choc chip cookie!

It's always a pleasure seeing you! The lemon cookies were a hit wih my co-workers. At the end of the day I took the few remaining cookies home with me and put them in my freezer to enjoy later. Yum! Thank you for always being so thoughtful!

Your BLT looked yummy.
