I walked a modified version of one of my connect the path routes. Only saw a few people out and not much in the way of wildlife either. It was a pretty uneventful walk, but a good one all the same.
Sorry folks, didn't take pictures of our trip up to Deep Creek, but here's a picture of some pretty colored leaves i took this morning around the townhouse complex where i live.
I walked 6.4 miles.

Yesterday Ken went out to a work lunch at Mimi's Cafe and he saved his Pumpkin Muffin and brought it home for me. Isn't he nice!? I ate it for my breakfast this morning. : ) It was quite good!!I usually go to the commissary on Wednesday but i didn't need much so decided to skip this week. I started making a chicken salad to have for supper tonight and realized there were a couple of ingredients that i didn't have. So i just walked across the street to the Giant and picked them up. Nice and convenient having the Giant right across the street.
Other than that i've been home today. I got a few more weave-it squares done and i should be finished with all the squares tomorrow. I've been sewing four of them into squares, now i just have to sew those together. I think i should be done within the week.
I'm reading a book called, Man Walks Into a Room by Nicole Krauss. It's about a man who is found wandering in the desert. An operation to remove a small brain tumor saves his life but he has no memory after the age of 12. I haven't read that much but so far it is very good. Someone recommended this book to me but i don't remember who it was. So if it was you, Thanks. : )
I think i'll go and read some of it now.
Hope your day was a happy one.

Yes, Ken is nice to bring you his pumpkin muffin. That topping on it looks yummy. John would save me the bottom half and eat the top half. Yup, he's nice that way. ☺
Wow. Those trees are beautiful all crimson that way. The best red I've seen all fall.
How sweet of Ken to bring you his muffin. It sure does look good.
The book sounds interesting to me. Is it a true story?
Your trees are beautiful. I also like the picture in your header. Makes me want to take a walk through the leaves.
That muffin looks Yum-O! That was very sweet of Ken! I have been reading Ruth Rendell's Inspector Wexford series. If you like British mysteries you will LOVE her!
Love the picture and your header too!
PS - I sooooo agree with that quote!
What a nice gesture!! I hope you enjoyed the muffin.
Muffin save....... Sweet.
View up your street...... Lovely.
New Header Photo...... Very nice. Which is saying a lot. -giggles- Because I simply adored the one you have been using, for Summer. :-)
Gentle hugs,
"O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away."
- Robert Frost, October
Such red leaves! Really beautiful. I'm so stuck on pumpkin this year...I'll need to try pumpkin muffins. Wawa pumpkin coffee is just a driving force for me on the way to work every day!
