I walked around the lake this morning but in the opposite way i usually do.
Just a few people out again like yesterday. I see a man walking quite often. He walks a steady but slow pace with his head down. He always looks up, smiles and says good morning back to me when i pass by, but his eyes look so sad. He seems so sad to me and i always say a little prayer for him. Sometimes i want to ask him why he is so sad but he seems a private person and i don't want to intrude.
I saw a few rabbits along the path. It was kind of dark out yet but their white cotton tails bouncing along gave them away. : )
I was on the path leading away from the lake. There is a road about 10 feet away through trees and brush on my right. I startled some deer on the left of me and five of them come running out of the woods, across the path in front of me, through the brush and straight across the street into traffic. I held my breath while they ran across the street hoping none of them would get hit by a car and let it out once they all made it safely across. I would have felt so bad because they ran away because of me.
Here are some pictures i took while walking.
It must have rained more than i realized last night because the little stream was higher than usual and it was very muddy.
I think this is a black walnut pod.
It was nice to be outside early this morning and walking. Always a great way for me to start my day.I walked 6.3 miles.

I have finished up the last of the weave-it squares.
There are 72 squares of 4 weave-its that now have to be sewn together to complete the job. So far i have sewn the first 8 squares together to make the first row.I did a bit of cleaning and going through some stuff and getting rid of things that i no longer want. I'm still trying to declutter and not to have so much stuff in closets but i'm also trying to not have so much stuff just sitting around collecting dust. I want to just keep things that i really really like and want.
I've been watching some of those hoarder shows and they make me really want to get rid of things. I don't really like watching those shows but i seem to watch anyway. I just can't imagine what it must be like to live that way!!!
Since i've been home now for three days in a row i am really looking forward to going out for supper this evening. When Ken comes home we'll decide where to go. I'll put in my suggestion and he his and then we'll decide which sounds best. I think my suggestion will be Red Lobster.
It's been raining on and off most of the day, but i do see some blue sky from time to time so the sun will probably come out just in time to set.
Hope this Friday is being good to you.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone : )

Perhaps you might say something to the man like "You seem to have a lot on your mind. I've been praying for you." Now someone saying that to me would give me pause. As the Lord leads...
Red Lobster...hope that you guys have a great evening out. John has leftover Greek pizza from his dinner out yesterday. I'll probably have a poached egg. ;>
Nice of you to say a little prayer for the man. Enjoy Red Lobster tonight, and have a great weekend. Art
I like those squares you are sewing together, very pretty.Have a nice meal tonight. Goosey.
Karen,
I think it is so sweet of you to say a prayer for that man. Maybe one day the opportunity will present itself for you to find out more about him.
I feel the same way as you do about the Hoarders show. It does make me want to minimize the clutter around here. It makes me sad to see the toll hoarding takes on the entire family.
Enjoy your dinner out. Red Lobster sounds like a good choice to me.
What station and what time is that Hoarder show on. I have wanted to see it but I never think about it. I just downloaded an audio book about hoarding. I am curious about it.
The hoarder show disturbs me, although I've seen a few episodes. I just can't imagine how difficult the family's life would be in those circumstances.
I always have salmon at Red Lobster, but then, I have salmon nearly every time we eat out. hehehe
