Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A dozen bags

This morning it was cloudy with a temperature of 54 degrees and it looked like it was about to rain.  I walked over to the lake and I was about a quarter of the way around it when it started to rain.  It was light and only lasted a couple of minutes and then stopped and I made it home before any more rain came.  I walked the opposite way around the lake than I usually do and kept to the lower path.  Quite a few fishermen out and I watched as I one caught a fish and then threw it back.  Here are a couple of fisherman off in the distance sitting in some lawn chairs fishing.  They look like they plan to stay awhile.
The geese are getting a might protective with their mate and hiss at me as I walk by.  I'm waiting to see some baby geese one of these days.
I saw a few gray cat birds.  They are not colorful but I think they are beautiful birds.  It's been a while since I've seen any deer but today I saw two of them.
A lot of people out around the lake this morning - too many to even count them.  I saw my friend, the dog Harley, and stopped to talk with his owners.  I've finally learned their names too - Bridget and Gearmo.
Since I didn't walk the upper path around the lake I didn't walk straight home but walked up the road a bit and walked down a path before going back home so I walked a little bit farther than usual.
I walked 7 miles.

I know I've taken a picture of this car before and posted it but took this today because I just can't believe that this person parks his car like this!!!!!!!  This is a PARKED CAR!

It rained all afternoon yesterday so I didn't get to plant my flowers in the front yard.  We went out and did a few errands in the afternoon.  When we got home I finished reading another book in the cat series by Lilian Jackson Braun and I knitted on the yellow baby blanket and finished it.

Stayed home during the day today and still didn't get out to plant those flowers.  One of these day's I'll get out there.

After supper we went to the library and one of the books I got out was World Without End by Ken Follett.  It's the sequel to Pillars of the Earth.  It's going to take me a while to read this because it has just over a thousand pages in it.  I hope it is as good as the first book.

We also stopped at the old house to put out all the yard waste bags from the weekend.  I just had to take a picture.

Now I'm about to go and watch some television and have some ice cream.
Hope you all had a good day.

I take it the fishermen get lucky and actually catch some fish every now and then, hope so. I can't believe that someone parks this way! Someday someone is going to call the police because they can't get around that car. Wow, that's a lot of yard waste bags, it was worth it, the place looks great!

I knew you'd been busy! Upload that car photo to your town's picture section...do you have one? (We do.) You might get some satisfaction. We're going to get the cold rain tomorrow. Oh well, I noticed that the new grass is already crunchy even after all the rain we've had in the past month.

WOW! That had to be a LOT of work to fill those bags! I'd say you deserve an EXTRA scoop of ice cream ;)

I'd say you earned that ice cream. That's a lot of work to fill all of those bags.
That parking job is worthy of a picture. I can't believe the car hasn't been sideswiped by now.

Time to leave a note on that car?? "Learn to park properly or leave the car in the garage."
