I saw four deer on the path to the lake and another two around the lake. One by the lake only had antlers on one side. I know they shed their antlers from December though March and I guess one comes off before the other.
A couple of geese go swimming off as I walk by.
Just a handful of other people around the lake and they were all regulars. There are a few people I used to see but haven't seen them in ages. Maybe they are waiting for the warmer weather to get here. Another great morning for walking and I walked 6.7 miles.

The last week or so I've been seeing these purple things up in trees while driving.
The first one I saw, at first glance, I thought was a kite stuck in a tree. But after seeing a couple of them, I knew it wasn't that. Then this morning I saw one on a tree around the lake. This sign was stapled to the tree explaining what it was. Mystery solved.
The weather is still in the 30's. I thought it was going to be warmer and it still might warm up some more. I hung clothes out to dry and some of them froze. There is a bit of breeze and with the sun they will dry. It just will take a little longer.
Have you all been curious to learn just how much money was in those two plastic containers? You all were way low!!! You will be surprised to know that the amount was
$645.75!!!!
If you're wondering how long it took to save that.
Three years.
Just staying around home today. Some cleaning, reading, knitting and who knows what else.
A happy Monday to you.

I am surprised. I guess the containers were larger than they appeared.
See you tomorrow?
WOW. Three years.
You're right, I am surprised. Wow, there must have been a lot of quarters in there.
Do you keep the coins you find while walking in separate containers? Just wondering because I used to do that when my boys were little. Periodically we would empty it and go out to lunch with our findings.
Happy Monday.
Oh boy!!! You did good on saving for so long. And now pizza for everyone. I do wish it would warm up a bit and stay warm. Frozen cloths are no fun. Have a great week.
Yep, put me on the surprised list, my goodness that's great, nice savings account! I think of you each morning (and mentally walk with you) when I wake up and look at the outside thermometer. You're right, it has been ALOT colder. It isn't expected to warm up until after next week. My curious question is what is an Emerald Ash Borer Trap? Is it for animals or for the trees? Enjoy your day.
Whoa!! That's a lot of coinage!! What are you going to do with your windfall?
I always thought those were kites, too. Borer traps; how about that!
I'm home today, too -- we're getting a new front door and side lights -- I did go out to the gym, though.
Wow! I'm going to start picking up pennies. Suppose, too, that I'll have to start walking 6.2 miles per day and raiding people's sofas.
Interesting insect trap...kinda cute actually. Hope that it's a successful trap because it sounds as if the trees are in trouble with that thing around.
Well of course I knew that ($645.75), but I figured 'til you bought the plane ticket to Co you'd have just what I guessed left to take us to lunch. What? You don't believe me?? It snowed both in the city and in the mts last night. We might have a foot of new in Breck. The first sunrise photo is glorious.
That duck photo is a lovely, lovely, lovely composition. [Don't I sound as if I know what I'm talking about?] Well, I don't know if that's how to say it, but......... Photographers could wait for hours, to get a shot like that. It's beautiful and that's what I'm trying to say.
Whoooo-hooooo, that's some *haul* from found coins! Great! And 3 years sounds like a long time, but... It still comes to over $200 a year.
♥ Gentle hugs ♥
Wow! that is a lot of money. I went walking today, and came back to the house to get my camera, I take my walking shoes off before going in the house, and when I looked I saw a dime in the shoe. I thought of you and wondered if you had found any coins today. How the dime got there I will never know. lol
You really get to see a lot of beautiful animals, and nature where you walk, I too have noticed more songbirds lately.
Thanks for sharing.
Sue
Again I say "great photograpy". All three pictures are clear. This was a very informative blog. Mary Jo
Lovely sunrise :)
I was with Rob when he cashed in his coins, and I thought your's would be a lot. How many years would it take to pay for a new Corvette? Many!
I stopped and took a look and picture of the Borer Trap sign last summer. I've seen many in Bowie this spring. I'm sure you went to the website. Very interesting!
