Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Before and After

It was nice to get out and walk again this morning after missing my walk yesterday. Though it was cold I had all my layers on so I stayed toasty warm. Only my face was cold. My lake was beautiful with the snow all around it. I walked 6.5 miles and stopped to take lots of pictures. Here's some of them.
The morning moon. The morning sun over the lake shining through the trees.
Some of the paths I walked along.
As I was walking here one of the park rangers was plowing the paths with his little tractor. I turned around as he passed and snapped this.

I worked yesterday getting the living room back to order. I love this room. What a difference a little paint makes. It feels so much cozier and warmer now.
Here are some before and after pictures.
Before
After
Right side of wall before
AfterLeft side of wall beforeAfterWe decided to paint the rest of the wall on the stairs too.
It looked unfinished before.

One thing still left to do in this room is the gas fire place wall which looks so bare and plain now. We have a plan for that and will do that project next weekend.
We are going to put up these stone pieces. They come in a box with 8 pieces which are random colors and each box covers 1 square foot. Ken just stuck these on the wall so we can live with it for the week to make sure we like it.
We set up the Wii last night and though we didn't set up the exercise part of it yet, we did create our own Mii and played some games. Bowling and Golf. Not much exercise doing that except for your arm! :-) It was lots of fun.

After a quick vacuum and clean up today I played some more on the Wii. Something else to get addicted to. :-)
Golf, I'm not so good at yet. I keep hitting the ball much too hard when I get to the green.
My highest score on bowling so far is 205 and I really like bowling.

Well, that's my Monday so far. How's yours shaping up. Hope its a good one!
Happyone :-)

I love the picture of the sun through the trees by the lake.
The paint job looks great. It's always amazing what a difference a fresh coat of paint makes in a room.

What a great morning shot of the moon. I was out last night with my camera, but you know how those nighttime shots go. The painting looks wonderful and does warm up your room. It's always looked cozy, but now it's really cozy and comfortable. Those Wii things make me laugh. I hope that you and Ken have a lot of fun with yours.

Love walking out in the snow. You have a good path for it, unlike around here. Your home looks nice. That Wii is kind of fun isn't it? I may have to get one some day.

I can see how you could get addicted to walking those paths.
You living room is glorious in it's new paint. Much more welcoming.

The fact that you can actually walk on all that ice and snow is really something. I'd be spending most of the time flat on my tushie!
I'm always surprised at the difference a little paint can make.
