Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside.

Snow, snow and some more snow
It's been snowing since last night when I wrote my blog. We are living in a winter wonderland. We must have 2 feet of snow and it's supposed to keep snowing through the night.
I did NOT walk this morning. There was several inches of snow and it was windy and there were no sidewalks to walk on. I'm sure I won't be walking tomorrow either. The next time I walk I'll be walking around the deck of a ship headed for warm weather. :-)
We did go out and drive around in it for a while this morning though. Ken is a very good driver and a little snow is no problem for him. Here he standing by the FJ.We went to the mall and most of the stores were closed. We went to Walmart and Target and were practically the only ones there.
Here's a couple of pictures of the parking lots. This was mid morning. We were home by lunch time and stayed home the rest of the day.
I've taken these pictures of the snow on my deck. By tomorrow you won't even be able to see the bench anymore.Snow has pretty much taken up the day. We keep going to the windows and looking out. It's been funny watching people drive up and down the street.
One thing nice about the snow is watching it fall while sitting in a nice warm cozy house.
We will have a nice quiet evening at home.
I hope you had a great Saturday.
Happyone :-)
The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?

Looks pretty, but that's A LOT of snow!
Looks like you've chosen a good time to go on a cruise!
I agree that you've picked a great time for a cruise. But I also agree that the snow transforms the ordinary into something magical. I'm glad you were able to enjoy it. Stay safe.
very pretty. I love snow.
Wonderful, we have some snow too but not that much. Some years we have no snow at all. I guess you will have a white Christmas, great.
Must say that I never thought I'd see that kind of snow in your corner...hope that it melts while you're off on your cruise. That way, you won't mind another cozy snowstorm one day.
Snowy goodness! I love the bench photos.
Dear Karen,
The view looks so good. I wish it snowed here..... but now that it doesn't i better stop this cribbing.... how's the preparation for Christmas going on???
In our case, it was a forced relaxation. I feel for those who needed to be out and about, though.
How lovely to have snow for Christmas, as long as it doesn't affect the power because then there is nothing worse than being cold and miserable. Hope you have a lovely time on your cruise, being pampered a nd enjoying sunshine.
