Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Yesterday and Today

It was pretty chilly out as I started on my walk this morning but the sun was out and it was crisp and clear. Great walking weather. I walked the usual 6 miles around the lake. I usually avoid the lake on Saturday because of the running club but left a bit early so I didn't see any of the club runners until I was three quarters the way around the lake.
A photo along the path.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ken and I stopped in at the library this morning to drop off a few books and to check out a few more. Then we drove to Annapolis and walked around the old part of town.
Here's a few pictures I took walking around town.Looking down a back street.I liked this little house between the bigger buildings.
We stopped at the Ram's Head and had lunch. You may remember me talking about the Ram's Head in previous posts. That has been a different one at Savage Mill.

That's as far as I got yesterday with this post. Now it's Sunday morning.
Yesterday at the library I picked up a movie called The Bourne Identity with Matt Damon. We both thought it was surprisingly good. Lots of action! There are two more movies in the series and we are going to watch them both. They are based on the books by Robert Ludlum.

For supper we made up more plates with Thanksgiving left overs and for our snack ate up the rest of the apple pie. There is one piece of pumpkin pie left and I'm being nice and saving it for Ken. :-)

I just got back from my walk this morning. It was only 30 degrees according to my thermometer on the deck. It was sunny and no wind and was another great walking day.

Now I'm off to get ready for church.
I'm planning on having a nice quiet afternoon at home knitting and reading.
I hope you all have a nice sunny happy Sunday.
Karen :-)

Karen, as usual it's such a pleasure to read your blog. When I had to be in DC over a weekend (back before I retired) I always included Annapolis on my weekend schedule. It was always a pleasure.

We have watched all three of the Bourne Identity movies and enjoyed all of them. They never lack action and a lot of unexpected turns.

Now I am feeling twice guilty, no walk & no church this am.
If anyone could shame me in to exercising you could! always a pleasure to read you posts.

Thanks for sharing the Annapolis pictures. I looks like you had a really nice day with Ken. How far away is Annapolis from your house? You always seem to have interesting places to visit.

Linda, Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. Annapolis is just about 1/2 hour drive away. I'll email you soon to catch up on things.

I'm trying to get caught up on blogs. It sounds as if you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I see you are still taking your morning walks. You did a great job capturing the fox -- I've never been able to get a picture.

I like your blog and I'll bet I'd like you. Too bad we can't walk together in the mornings. How far is it from North Idaho to where you live? Probably too far to become walking buddies. Just keep writing and shooting pictures then, that will have to do.

Always enjoy your walking photos! You are a trooper, walking everyday no matter what the weather! I've been hitting the treadmill instead of going outside!
My husband really loved the Bourne Identity! He has all three movies in the series. The first one is my favorite, although I did enjoy all three...once. : ) Have fun!

How sweet of you to save that last piece of pie for Ken. Very pretty picture from your walk. Your visit to Annapolis looks like a great day. I thought of you last night when I was curled up in that beautiful afghan watching a Christmas movie. Thanks again.
