Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another beautiful morning for walking at least it was when I started out. I snapped this photo as I got to the lake. The lake is behind me. A very still morning, no breeze and the lake was like glass. The sun got no higher in the sky before the clouds took over and it was starting to sprinkle as I walked the last block home. I saw the heron along the path by the stream. It was too dark to get a picture but he was beautiful as he took off in flight.
I've been saying good morning to a runner for the last couple of weeks as we pass by and today I realized he was someone I met months ago. Ken and I met him when his townhouse was being built in our neighborhood when he came to see his house being built. We reintroduced ourselves and continued on our way. His name by the way is Tom.
Quite a few people out around the lake today. Lots of deer too and of course all the geese.

My blogger friend Kerri has a picture blog and all the photos she takes are spectacular. She has taken some of her photos and have had them put on note cards and journals and now sells them on CafePress. I have bought cards and a journal and they arrived in the mail today. I love them. The only problem was trying to decided which pictures I liked best. :-)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once the rain started it rained all day so we had a dreary day. I went to the commissary to pick up a few things. I got the makings for Mexican Meatloaf and was going to make that for supper but then realized the recipe was for the slow cooker. I ended up mixing all the ingredients together and just putting it in the oven where it is now cooking. I'm also going to make roasted potatoes and some kind of vegetable.

Last night we watched the second Bourne movie and have the third to watch sometime this week. Dexter came in the mail from Netflix so we'll watch that tonight.

I'm off now to make those potatoes.
I hope your Monday was a good start to the week and you are happy today.

You got a beautiful sunrise before the clouds rolled in. We've had clouds alll day, but they are starting to break up now that it's starting to go down! The meatloaf and roast potatoes sound delicious.

I find that recipes can USUALLY be adjusted from slow cooker to oven. I hope it turned out 'yummily.'
