Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

July picture challenge day 11

Joining CrissyT for the July Photo-a-Day challenge
Day 11

Fruit/Vegetable

My favorite fruit is strawberries.

A nice fresh head of broccoli ready to be picked.

A bit of fog around again this morning and then it was a walk
under cloudy skies.
Temperature was 64 degrees and a slight breeze.

Today I started my walk by walking down the main road in the
direction I had just driven up.
Picture taken from the main road.

Once I was back to town walked around both of the cemeteries.

Then it was through town and up and down some side streets.
Didn't go around the ball park loop because I had all my
walking steps in already.

Stopped at the church in town and talked to Lena who is one of
the women in charge of the rummage sale there.
I didn't look around because didn't want to see anything
I needed. ๐Ÿ™‚

I haven't seen the geese families all week.
They must have taken off for new adventures.

๐Ÿ˜Š    ☁️    ๐Ÿงข    ๐Ÿฅพ

Didn't go to the library for stitching this week.
Everyone had other things to do this morning.

It was cloudy but I took a chance and did a load of laundry.
Glad I did because everything dried nicely before the rain came.

Finished reading a book and started one of the ones
I got yesterday.
Also did a crossword puzzle sitting out on the front porch.

Once I publish this post I'll go make supper
Broccoli Cheese Soup.

That's all for today.
Hope you had a wonderful Saturday.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

LisaLock- Yes, I've read most of all the books Alexander McCall Smith has written but the 44 Scotland St series is my favorite.  I love Bertie!!!

Nice photos from your morning walk. Sounds like a relaxing day. We have been taking it easy today since our air conditioning is not working and we have to wait until working hours on Monday to schedule a service, oye. I worked a long time on my latest puzzle and now I'm watching World cup soccer. Your dinner sounds yummy!
