FAR AWAY
The sun is FAR AWAY

A walk under cloudy skies this morning with just a little
peek of the sun for a few minutes.
The temperature was 60 degrees.
Found a dime.
First walked around both of the cemeteries.
Went down the farm road to the long barn.
All the cows are out in the pastures this time of year
and the few left in the long barn are ones that Farmer Marvin
is keeping eye for on various reasons.
Coming back from the barn here on the farm road.
Continued walking to the ball park and around there.
Then back to the pond going through town up and down all the side streets.
Saw Lena and Rebecca out walking together.

Nono's Pizza in town which has been closed for quite a long time
is now for sale.
When we first moved here it was a bar, then a cafe type place,
and then the pizza place.

There are loads of pictures and some good arial shots of the whole town.

Stitching morning at the library.
7 of us there and as always had a fun time.
The oldest women there was Aunt Lois.
She is Lena's aunt but we all call her Aunt Lois
and she is 93 years old.
She still does beautiful embroidery work and quilts.
The youngest girl there today was Madison who is just 8
and is learning to knit.
She is Jalene's granddaughter and Aunt Lois is her
Great, great aunt.
I knitted while I was there and have finished
the basket weave baby blanket that I've working on
it seems forever.
I love the pattern and color but am glad to be done with it.
Just doing a bit of this and that around the house
this afternoon.

Your photo of the sky is amazing! Strange how some buildings go through so many businesses, but nothing can ever stay.
Your stitching day at the library sounds like it was a lot of fun. I love it that there's such an age variation. Congratulations on finishing the basket weave baby blanket! Will you post a picture on your other blog?
Sorry...I forgot to thank you for the link for the pizza shop that is closing. There really were some nice shots of the whole town and the pictures all look so nice of the inside of the building. I wonder why it is that no one seems to stay in there for a long time?

Oh yes, I did so enjoy the entry and comments above. The pictures make my feet want to hit the road. But I have been so tied down keeping house and cooking. Over the last few months I have learned to appreiate house keepers and my mama. Of course I tell my sweetheart she took care of me nearly 70 years it is my time,

Love seeing the cows. Sad that so many businesses have gone through that building. It looks like a nice place. Hopefully someone can buy it and keep something going there.
