Day 9
Calm

A walk with the umbrella this morning.
It was 70 degrees and rainy to start.
First walked over to the post office and mailed a card.
Then to the ball park and walked around the loop a couple of times.
Continued walking around town and heard a big clap of thunder
so thought I'd better go back to the Jeep.
BUT that was the only thunder I heard and by the time I was
back to the Jeep the rain had stopped.
Left the umbrella in the Jeep and walked around both of the cemeteries.
First the lower one and then up the hill to the other one.
By that time I started to see some blue sky.
Anna and her Dad Mark were out walking again.

The second Thursday of each month is when my book club meets.
Blankets for Babies and Seniors usually meet on the
third Thursday of every month.
But next week is Bible Time so it was a week early.
So both things were on the same day.
I chose to go to church for blankets.
There were 10 of us there this time.
Ken came along too and did some work for Pastor.
Did a few things around the house and then read.
It was raining again so read inside today.
Periods of both rain and sun today.
Haven't made it yet but after supper I'm going to make
Strawberry Short Cake for our snack later this evening.
That will take the place of our usual ice cream.

Your pictures are lovely. We got some rain here in Montreal today but unfortunately it didn't give any relief from the heat 🥵 and humidity.
Strawberry shortcake is the perfect summer dessert. Your first photo really is a great image of calm.

That is a calm photo. Yum, it's been a while since we've had strawberry shortcake.
We've been having a lot of strawberries lately, too. The photo of the cemetery looks calm to me.
