Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Day 14 of the July photo challenge

 July Photo-a-day Challenge with ChrissyT
Day 14
On the Floor

Playing Jacks On the Floor

A delightful morning for walking.
63 degrees and sunny
Sunrise 6:01

Began my walk going around both of the cemeteries.
Then through town to the ball park and around that loop a couple of times.
Continued all around town till I had all my steps and then headed
back to the pond.

This farm pond is down in back of the Drane house.

I usually end my walk here over looking the pond.
Always so peaceful.

Shelia was out doing her laps around town.
Saw Carrie walking and also Anna and her Dad Mark.

As I got home from walking I was greeted by my neighbor cows.
They had escaped again. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ken said they had been all around the house a little earlier.
They eventually found their way back home like they always do.

We didn't need all that much this week so we just went to
the Shop and Save this morning to pick up a few items.
Nice not to have to make the Walmart trip this week.

Got a bit of house cleaning done this morning.

Did a little reading and also got some knitting done.
Still working on the basket weave baby blanket.

That's all for today.
Hope you had a wonderful Tuesday and
thanks so much for stopping by.

Plenty of people miss their share of happiness,
not because they never found it,
but because they didn't stop to enjoy it.

The cows may keep your grass clipped. But, they may also mess things up and eat your flowers. I know cattle!
I always dread trips to Wal-Mart, so try to shop for two weeks.

Great morning shots! That is funny to find cows on your property. Our kids have gotten some visitors, too. Sounds like a relaxing day.

Hi Karen. I love the pictures you took from your walk today. I always appreciate weeks when I DON'T have to go to Walmart, but unfortunately, I'm out of some things, so this will be a Walmart week. Looks like the cows like to come over and pay you and Ken a visit. See you again soon!

Lovely photo, Karen. The cows like to come to see you! :) I am always happy to see them! The skies are very dark right now! We are under a severe weather watch here in Montreal, storms and possibly tornadoes!

Update...the tornado warning has been dropped! What a relief.

The cattle know where they can come and not be frightened. :) Sounds like you had a lovely walk this morning. xx

Your photos are so perfect, they look like postcards. The light on the path in the second one is especially gorgeous. I still love Jacks! Also Pickup Sticks!

Hello,
I remember playing jacks, one of my favorite games.
Your sky photo is beautiful, all your photos are lovely.
It is cool the cows come to visit your yard.
Take care, have a great day!

I can't remember the last time I played jacks. For that matter I can't remember the last time I sat on the floor. I would probably never get back up now...lol
Glad to hear the cows found their way back home

That pond did look peaceful. Wonder why the cows like your area better...is the grass greener? : -) Have not played jacks since my grands were little. Janice

Would you believe I have never played Jacks and don't have the faintest idea how one does play them?
