Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Day 13 of othe July Photo Challenge

July Photo-a-day Challenge with CrissyT.
Day 13
Shadow

๐Ÿ“ท    ๐Ÿ“ท

This morning when I walked it was a nice sunny one
and the temperature was 60 degrees with a breeze.
Sunrise 6:00

Started my walk going down the main road towards home
and then back to town with a detour up Barn Sale Road.

Then through town, up and down a few side streets
and over to the DG Market.
Continued up and down the road behind the store.

Back to town and around the ball park loop and then back to the pond.
The geese families have come back and the babies are now all grown.

As I passed by the building site for all those new houses
one of the workers was near the road and we talked for a bit.
He said he's seen me walking for years and asked the usual questions.
He told me where all the 10 houses would be and said they are hoping
that people will buy a couple lots to build a house on.
That would be nice so the houses wouldn't be shoved so close together.

Perfect weather for sheet washing day.
The sun and breeze had them dried in no time.
They were back on the bed at 11:00.

Pulled some weeds out of the gravel.
No red tomatoes yet but we have lots of green ones.
Hard to wait for them to ripen.
I grew them from seeds!!

We went to town and did a few errands.
Sat out on the porch and read for a while
and Ken joined me.

That's going to be it for today.
Hope you had a wonderful Monday
and thanks so much for stopping by.

but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and,
as the magnet finds the iron,
so it will find, in every hour,
some heavenly blessings!

I like the quote. And great shadow photos, you look like you are standing under an arbor.

Hi Karen. I really love the quote at the end. Your shadow pictures are great. Home builders around here like to build houses super close together which not much yard at all. I hope you have a good Tuesday. See you then!

Can't wait to see those houses when they are finished and families will be living in them.

You have been doing those long early morning shadows for a long time, so this one is for you!

I like your shadow shots. My tomatoes are just now starting to ripen....just barely. Nothing like a fresh garden tomato.

That is the perfect picture for "shadow'.
Whenever you post your sunrise time I look up mine. Today it was a 5:18 here.
If you at some point hear what the price of a lot is I'd be interested in knowing ( not that I'm in the market for a lot lol). The price of land out here has shot up ridiculously in the last decade making it next to impossible for young families to afford a house.

I will be picking my first red tomato within the next few days!

Oh and I like your shadow pictures, too!

Our Amish neighbors down the road from us always have their laundry out on the line early in the morning. Loved your shadow pictures!
