56 degrees and cloudy when I walked this morning
after early morning rain.
By the end of my walk the sun was out
and the rest of the day was bright and sunny.
After walking around both of the cemeteries I stopped
at the post office to put a card in the mail.
It was one of the diamond cards I made.
I put a thin piece of bubble wrap in with the card
and put 2 stamps on it.
From there I walked up the hill to the school.
You can see the school in the distance here from the cemetery.
There is a path that goes around in back of the school
and I walked around there.
Here's where it starts.
Continues around here and behind the dairy cow farm.
Back to the front of the school.
Here I'm headed back down the hill to town.
By the time I got back to the pond I had all my steps in.
I like to go AT LEAST 10,000 steps
Today my steps were 11,286
Didn't see anyone else out.
Pretty quiet around town today.

We headed out to the dump this morning and got rid of our trash.
Then stopped in at the Shop and Save to pick up a few things.
No trip to Walmart this week.
Went outside again this afternoon and did more weeding.
Then like yesterday sat out on the front porch and read.
Tonight when I go to church I'm taking each of the young men
who helped us load up the trailer,
some chocolate chip cookies that I baked yesterday
to say Thank You.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Dianna - All my pictures are taking with my cell phone. I don't even own a regular camera.
Mary&Chris - The recipe for the chocolate chip cookies is on my Karen's Kitchen blog HERE.

Lovely photographs showing views of your walk.
I think the young men will be delighted with the chocolate chip cookies you will be giving them.
All the best Jan
Hitting over 11,000 steps before the rest of the town is even fully awake is an amazing way to start the day, especially with that crisp, cool morning air transitioning into gorgeous sunshine. Your walking route past the cemeteries, up the hill behind the school, and around the dairy farm looks incredibly peaceful and scenic. The handmade diamond card with the bubble wrap trick is such a thoughtful touch, and those young men at church are going to be absolutely thrilled when you hand them those homemade thank-you chocolate chip cookies tonight. Getting the errands crossed off at the dump and Shop and Save early means you completely earned that quiet afternoon of weeding and porch reading.
Hi Karen! You had another busy day! That is so nice of you to take chocolate chip cookies to the men who helped you. Have a good Thursday. See you then!
...you out did yourself today!
Wow, Karen, you are amazing! Beautiful photos of your walk!
You packed in a full morning before anyone was up and about, well done!
You logged a lot of steps this morning. That looks like a nice path to follow around the school.
I am lucky to get 10000 steps in a day, much less a morning! I do need to pick up the pace though- it seems to be what all the experts are touting now as the best exercise as we age. I love your route- I ride my stationary bike because I have no where but the highway to walk unless I want to travel somewhere.
What a thoughtful thing to do for those who helped you and Ken load the boxes on the trailer yesterday. Thank you for answering my question about the camera you use for your pictures.
beautiful, comforting images from your walk!! i envy your long walks, i am no longer able to walk any distance!! you are lucky to have cool mornings!!
A new route! And really nice photos.
