Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Afternoon Walk

Woke up this morning to a thunderstorm so didn't walk in the morning.
Though the storm stopped by 9:00 couldn't walk then either
because I had to leave for church at 9:00 to meet
the ladies for Blankets for Babies and Seniors.
Ken came along to church also because he had
to do some work on the cutter for Fingerprints.

Just a small crowd of us ladies today - only 5 of us,
but we still enjoyed each others company while getting
some work done.

We were back home for lunch and then in the afternoon
I got to go on my walk.
Though I'm glad I went walking it still is NOT the same as
my morning walk when I see the town wakeup.

🧢    🌤    💨    🥾

First walked around both the cemeteries as usual.
The sky look amazing and was worth walking this
afternoon just to see it.

Next headed over to the library and drop off a DVD.
This time the library was open so I brought it inside.

Continued over to the ball park and around there and then
around town till I had all my steps in.

It was VERY WINDY with sun and clouds and 72 degrees.

The ditch lilies are out and blooming all over town.

Thought maybe I'd see some other out walking at this time of day
but didn't see anyone.

Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks so much for coming by.

Hi Karen. Those lilies are gorgeous. So glad that you were able to get a walk in even though it wasn't in the early morning.

It was good you were able to get your walk in ... even if it was later in the day than normal.
I do like the lilies, such a lovely colour.

All the best Jan

I love a good walk anytime of the day but I do agree morning walks are special.

Morning walks are always the best for me, but rain sure does have a way of spoiling good intentions. The lilies are beautiful- I haven't heard of them called "ditch" before, but how neat that they are so colorful.

...here, an afternoon walk would have head winds and tail winds!

That picture of the clouds is gorgeous! We woke up to a thunderstorm this morning . I'm glad that you were able to get your walk in this afternoon. To say it was windy today is almost an understatement.

I wanted to tell you that I made your rhubarb cobbler with the biscuit topper this afternoon for Carroll. It turned out great and he loves it. He has commented a couple of times how delicious it is. I'm doing the anti-inflammatory diet and sugar isn't something that I can have or I would also be saying how delicious it is . We still have rhubarb so I will be making some of your other rhubarb recipes. 😋

Amazing clouds. That is nice that the both of you could make the drive to church and get your individual things done. The lilies are pretty. My yellow ones are blooming right now. Hope you have a good Friday and are able to walk in the morning!
