Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Knitting

The temperature when I walked this morning was 70 degrees.
There was a nice breeze and a mix of sun and clouds.

Around both of the cemeteries a couple of times was where I went first.
Then it was back down the main road towards home,
turned around and went back to town.

Stopped at the Jeep and picked up a DVD and on my way to the
ball park made a detour to the library and put the DVD down the slot.
We just finished watching all 3 seasons of
800 Words
which we thought was pretty good.

Continued walking over to the ball park and around there a couple of times.
Walking back to the pond finished my walk.

I met a man while walking, his name is Gordon.
I've seen him out in his yard and he has waved to me
driving by while I've been walking.
Today he has started walking. 🙂

It was a delightful morning and so nice to be out walking.

😊    🥾    🌤    🚶‍♀️

I started a new knitting project this afternoon
using white cotton yarn.
It is supposed to be a wash cloth but when it's done it looks
like a doily so that is what I'm using it for.
I've made one before and want to knit 2 more of them.
It's a bit complicated but fun to do.
I haven't made it for a while and had to figure out a couple of
the stitches that I forgot how to do.
I ripped it out two times and this third time I finally got it.
Here's what I've done so far.

Happy to say it's just about pizza time.
I'm really hungry and looking forward to Ken's pizza.🍕

Hope your Friday was a happy one.
Thanks for coming by.

When you rise in the morning,
give thanks for the light,
for your life,
for your strength.
Give thanks for your food
and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason to give thanks,
the fault lies in yourself.

The photograph of the sky and the green leaves is my favorite. Walking helps with communication and connection, and it's wonderful to see how warmly you interact with the people around you there. Knitting takes skill, but it is also wonderfully therapeutic. Keep going we're looking forward to hearing how you feel as you continue and eventually complete it.

Oh, what a glorious sunrise!!! Look at you! You go on the knitting, how awesome. I tried and I can honestly say I am not meant to knit. LOL!
