Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Growing Geese

Once again I have a sunny day for my morning walk.
It was 55 degrees and calm.
I've been waking up early because it is so light out so have
been getting my walk started early.
I was to town and walking at 6:15.
Sunrise is now 5:50

Had my usual walk all over town, both the cemeteries,
and the ball park too.
It was very random and went in no particular order.

The corn in the field is now about 4 inches tall.

From a distance I first thought this mushroom was a ball.

Took another picture of one of the geese families to show you
how big the babies are getting.
All the babies in the other families are the same size too.

Looks like some kind of event will be happing here at the pond
with the tent all set up.

It was another delightful walk and makes me so thankful that I
have such a wonderful town to walk around.

Didn't see anyone else out.
Won't be seeing the buses in the morning for a while,
today is the last day of school.

😊    🥾    ☀️    🌸

Did my usual morning routine around the house this morning.

Didn't do much of anything this afternoon.
Mostly sat out on the front porch and read.
Ken joined me at one point and read too.

Then I came inside and made the pizza dough
and in just a bit after it finishes rising Ken will make our pizza.

Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
HappyK🙂

Melody - I'm reading The High Tide Club by Mary Kay Andrews.  About half finished and it is quite good.

Dear Karen, I love the Bible quote and illustration.
Your header photo is really beautiful and I also love your blog background!
You had a lovely walk! Your photos are gorgeous!
As far as the mushroom goes, I would have also thought it was a ball at a distance!
It is so pretty, love pattern!
I really love your last photo with the Canada geese family and the pond and fountain!

The geese sure are growing fast and the corn will be doing the same soon. Enjoy the weekend.

A wedding, maybe?

That mushroom does look quite large.
The geese are growing fast, that's a nice photograph by the pond.

All the best Jan

The goslings are entering the gawky stage. Soon they'll be as big as the adults. We had rain today, heavy downpour at times. Sunrise was at 5:04.

I'd say your day was perfect! I like the mushroom and I always enjoy seeing the straight rows of plants growing in the field.

Hello! What a nice slow day!! That mushroom is neat! I love to see mushrooms. I do not like them as far as food. Of course, not all are safe to eat but I am sure you know what I mean. That mushroom is so unique.
