Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

10 houses!!! and 9 dozen cookies

Temperature was a chilly 46 degrees,
but there was no wind and it was sunny,
so a beautiful morning for walking.
By the time my walk ended it was 51 degrees.

Started my walk by walking around both of the cemeteries.
Just finished walking around the first one here and on my way
to the other one.

Pretty neat to see the low cloud over there.

On the way to the ball park I saw Bill and stopped to talk to him.
Asked him about the new road they are making and if they are
going to build a couple of houses there.
I was sure was surprised when he told me they plan on
building 10 of them.
Both of us can't imagine 10 houses in that space.
AND the houses are going to cost $400,000.
That is just crazy!!!
Will be very interesting to watch the progress of this endeavor.

Left Bill and went over to the ball park and walked around there
a couple of times and then along the main road in town,
and up and down some of the side streets before getting
back to the pond.

Ran into Joe who used to have Bill's job when we first moved
up here and stopped to talk to him.

Some pretty blooms along my walk.

Bible Time is coming up next month at church and once again
I will bake, along with others, cookies for snack time.
I baked the first batch today.
Mixed up a double batch of chocolate chip dough,

and turned it into 9 dozen (108) cookies.

When I got done baking I realized that I never hung the clothes I
washed this morning out on the line.
So did that just before lunch.
Thought maybe I'd have to wash them over again but
they still smelled nice and clean.

We made a trip to the library this afternoon to pick up 2 books
for me and 2 DVD's for Ken that we had on reserve.

I went outside for a while this afternoon and pulled some
weeds out of the gravel.

Then sat on the front porch for a while.
Having tacos for supper so I'd better get started making them.

Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks so much for coming by.

Wow, 10 houses is a lot and I can't imagine what they will look like for that price.

Your pictures are beautiful, as always, Karen. Especially those cookies! They look like they came from a bakery.

The flowers are gorgeous, especially the purple ones. They look like Clematis. That's a lot of cookies! Do you have a double oven, or a huge one? You must be putting trays in the oven all day! I just saw on the news that a lot of starter homes are now a million dollars. They said it is very hard to buy a house now unless you are pretty rich.

New houses are so expensive. I feel sorry for young people just starting to look for a home. Take care, enjoy your day!

Those 10 houses will be crammed together. There are a couple places around here that have a lot of houses on a small space!
