Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Windy

Well, I certainly had a windy walk this morning.
The kind that gives you a push along or makes you take a step back.
Wore my rain gear because it was supposed to be raining
but it didn't start till I got back home.
The temperature was 46.
Sunrise 5:56

Walked around both cemeteries first and then over to the ball park loop.
Then continued all around town up and down all the side streets.

Up at the cemetery all the flags were put by the graves
who where veterans.
The orange flags are for people who were firemen here in town.
You can tell how windy it was by all the flags being straight out.

These irises are a bright color on a dreary morning.

Rebecca was out walking.
I was leaving town when I saw her walking down her driveway.

🙂    ☁️    🥾    🪻

It was just me, Debbie, and Jalene at the library for stitching this morning.
I knitted on the basket weave blanket,
Debbie was knitting socks,
and Jalene was crocheting a scarf.

Finished reading Where the Sky Begins by Ryhs Bowen this afternoon.
Everything I've read by her I liked.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you had a wonderful day.

Those irises certainly are a beautiful colour, more so when the weather is dull and dreary.

All the best Jan

The iris are so pretty! It has been cold here too. How wonderful that there are flags for the firemen who passed!! Lately we have been having more accidents with firemen dying. They are such heroes!

It was breezy here, almost windy, but it kept the temperature very comfortable for working outside. I like how all the flags are blowing straight out.

There is nothing quite like a walk where the wind decides which direction you’re moving! Sounds like you timed the weather perfectly, though getting home right as the rain started is a major victory.

It rained early here yesterday but we had that same windy weather. It tried to pull the door out of my hand when I was letting Gibbs outside.
Looks like lots of veterans and firemen in that cemetery

Spring has a way of surprising us with all kinds of weather. We are 'grand' sitting this weekend and getting worn out in a good way.
