Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Baking Cookies

This morning the temperature was 33 degrees and it was sunny for walking.
There was no wind.

First walked around the cemetery on the hill a few times.

Then I walked to the ball park and made a couple of laps around that loop.

These 4 chickens were the only ones out of the coop.
A little frost didn't bother them.

Continued walking around town up and down all the streets and ended up by walking around the other cemetery.
No fishing today, saving the fish for the fish with a cop day.

By the time I left to go home the temperature was 37 and the sky was clear and a bright blue.

Glad we covered our little vegetable garden because we did have a little frost.
One bean plant doesn't look so good but the others are all fine.
Hoping the bean plant perks up.

This week at church is the Missions Conference which ends on Sunday with an  international dinner.
We make different dishes from the countries where the visiting missionaries are from.
I was asked to make Polvorsas cookies from Guatemala and was given the recipe and made them today. Recipe and pictures on Karen's Kitchen.

I didn't buy a phone case at the phone store because you can get on one line MUCH cheaper.
Ordered one and it was supposed to arrive yesterday but never did, now it is supposed to be here today but still waiting.

Almost pizza time. ๐Ÿ•

That's all I have for today.
Hope you had a happy day.
Thanks for stopping by.

It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop.

Love the Confucius quote! So did you order a cute phone case? I have ordered them on Amazon before, they have a huge choice.

It was frosty here this morning too and supposed to freeze again tonight. It made for pretty scenes for you this morning.
What a fun idea to have foods from the missionary countries. Your cookies look good.
I hope your phone case arrives today!

Warm here but not hot. I did turn on AC yesterday. I saw those cookies and yum, they had my mouth watering. I think I've seen cookies like that in the Mexican bakery. They have many treats from Mexico and all of South America. I'll have to check again because I don't think I'd have the patience to make them. You are such a good baker.

The Polvorpsas cookies look good. They sound like shortbread with the few ingredients. Adding a bit of milk would help in forming the balls. I made cookies today too. Lemon Crinkles which someone mentioned on their blog and now I can't remember who it was.

We're just starting to get frosts and I guess they'll get harder as winter goes on. Hopefully your bean plant will perk up. I just read the cookie recipe and they sound very nice.

Once in Home Economics class we did international dinners. It was fun tasting food from different countries. Hope the cookies were a hit. We had frost here too. UGH Janice

I did the same thing and got a phone case from Amazon. Way cheaper than buying at the place where I got my phone.
Those cookies look good. I love the looks of Karen's Kitchen. I'm going to have to bookmark that so I can go back and check out some of those recipes.

Looks like a good walk, it was cloudy and windy here.
I like the chickens and the views of the pond.
Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend.

We have neighbors with free range chickens even though it’s illegal here in the city but they are fun to watch. Great pictures and I would love some of your cookies. I know they have to be good.
