Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A rainy walk

This morning I had a nice walk in the rain.
It was 55 degrees, too warm for my raincoat so took along my umbrella.
Just a bit of a breeze so I didn't have to worry about my umbrella blowing inside out.

Walked around the cemetery up the hill first and then all around town, to and around the ball park and some more around town.

This rhododendron bush was a nice bright spot on a rainy morning.

The last place I walked was around the other cemetery.
It rained the whole time.
As expected I didn't see any others out walking.

🌧    😊    ☔️

Did some house cleaning in the morning.
Then I had to fix a mistake in the blanket I'm knitting.
Had to take out a few rows to fix the mistake!!

Then spent more time reading my book which so far is excellent. (Theo of Golden)

Today is our Pastor's birthday and after church this evening there will be cake to celebrate which I'll staying for. 😊
I'm going to give him the humming bird diamond art card I made.
It will be the first one I give to someone.
At first I thought it might be to girlie but decided to give it him anyway.
He really likes humming birds.
I wrote a nice message inside and a Bible verse.

So that's all I have for this post.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks for coming by.

That was a nice gentle rain today, wasn't it? We went to Grantsville late morning, and it seemed as though we were always on the edge of seeing the sun, and we also saw some fog.

Yours makes the second place on blogs today that someone is reading or listening to Theo of Golden. I'm glad you are enjoying it.

I am sure your pastor will enjoy the card you give him tonight for his birthday.

And I really like the quote at the end of your post today. Thank you for sharing it.

What a good idea to have the first card go to your pastor! The Rhododendron is so pretty. We have them here, and for some reason this is the only color I ever see.
