Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Oh no melted ice cream

55 degrees again this morning for walking.
Mostly sunny with a few clouds and a bit breezy.
Sunrise 6:57

Started my walk going around both of the cemeteries.

The fisherman in the white truck was back again today as well as 3 others.

Then I went over to the ball park and walked around there as usual.
All the chickens were out and the rooster was up on the fence crowing for all he was worth.

Continued walking back to the pond and from there I walked down the main road towards home before turning around and going back to town.

These are the first tulips I've seen around town.

Such a nice time of the day to be out walking.
It was delightful. 😊

🌤    🌷    🌤    🌷

This morning we made a trip out to the dump to get rid of our trash.
Ken got a new tractor seat and we threw the old one out at the dump.

On the way home we stopped at the Shop and Save and picked up some ice cream to replace the two that we had to throw away.
Why you ask did we have to throw the ice cream away?

Last evening Ken went out to the freezer (in the garage) to get the ice cream and came in and said the freezer wasn't working.
The food was still cold so we stuffed everything into the refrigerator freezer.
The ice cream didn't make it.  It pretty much melted and was leaking out of the carton making a mess.

Well the good news is that the freezer wasn't broken at all but one of us didn't close the freezer door all the way.
Don't want to mention any names, but it wasn't me!! 🙂

So today I cleaned the freezer and got all the food put back into it.

Finished up this weeks house cleaning and then this afternoon I worked on a diamond art card.

Hope you all enjoyed your Friday.
Thanks for stopping by.

What a great ending to a bad surprise! I love your rooster pic. All those fishermen, it seems they would deplete the little pond of fish pretty quickly!

Well, you made me laugh today. Glad the freezer is ok, and glad that the someone who left the door open wasn't you! :)
The rooster picture is fabulous. I can almost hear him crowing!

Oh, I have to admit, I have been guilty of not closing the freezer all the way! Bless it. Look at that rooster!!!!!

Oh that Ken...LOL at least it was just the ice cream that went bad. What a fine rooster! The fisherman were out in droves again here yesterday with the warm weather. One of my husbands friends caught something he had no idea what it was. Sent Bob a pic and it was an eel. They are rare in our river, and on our endangered species list, so Bob told him to release it back. They are ugly but help the eco system.

Pretty tulips.
Glad it was just ice cream that had to be replaced and not the freezer.

Your comment about who didn't completely close the freezer made me laugh. Of course it wasn't you. lol It's great you didn't have to buy a new freezer and only lost the ice cream. I love that picture of the chicken. :0)
