Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A walk around Happy Trails

53 degrees and mostly sunny, just a few clouds around and it was calm.

Now that it is light enough in the morning I usually start my walk by going around both of the cemeteries first and that's what I did this morning.

The morning moon

I went to the long barn to see the cows and then walked down to the other barn by the Drane house.
Walked around the Drane house and took a picture of the outhouse.

Continued over to the ball park and walked around the loop a couple of times.
The rooster was crowing again.
This time from the back of a chair and had 4 hens with him.

From there walked through town on the main road and up a down a few side streets.

7 fishermen out by the pond this morning including the man with the white truck.

I'm liking these nice spring mornings for walking.
Birds are busy flying around with bits of stuff in their beaks for nest building.

😊    🌷    🐓    🌤

Stitching time at the library this morning.
6 of us there today.
I knitted on the cable stitch pillow.
We were all sad 🙁 to learn that Emily, one of the librarians doesn't work there anymore, Friday was her last day.
She was so very nice, helpful, and always smiling.
I will surely miss her.
She is moving back to Idaho.

Ken and I went for a walk around Happy Trials (our property) this afternoon.

When we got back I sat on the front porch and read.

Also got a little more done on the diamond art card this afternoon.
I am surprised how much I like doing that.
It is very relaxing for me.

Didn't have pizza yesterday so having our homemade pizza for supper this evening.
The dough has risen and Ken is just starting to make the pizza now.

That's it for today.
Hope you had a wonderful Saturday and thanks for coming by.
HappyK 🙂

The pictures are,so nice. I remember the outhouse at my grandma's and grandpas house. I want a outhouse-looking shed in our yard.
How much property do you have?

I did not know ell was edible. I would not eat it. YUCK. I use to have an outhouse at my old house. I used it for my garden shed. Janice
