Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Robin

54 degrees this morning and it was mostly sunny with a few clouds.

Today I walked around the farm loop route.
Some pictures along the way.

Took the road on the left up ahead.

It must really be spring now because the fountain in the pond has been turned back on.

I saw this Robin sitting here in the gutter along the main road not moving.
Got close and took a picture and it never moved.
It must have flown into a car or truck and just got stunned.
The birds out by the feeder at the house fly into the window sometimes and get stunned like that and they just fly off after a while.

😊    🥾    🚶‍♀️    🌤

I went to the library this morning to meet the ladies in the stitching group.
It was only me and Jalene there this week.
Started out with her crocheting and me knitting but we soon put that aside and just had a very nice visit!!

After lunch I went outside again to stack more branches and limbs on the brush fence.
Ken still has another tree to take down.

Sat on the porch for a little while and then I went inside and knitted.
Working on the cable stitch pillow.
Won't be long now before I'm finished with it.

Thanks for coming by.
Hope you had a delightful day.
HappyK😊

Connie - About the pennies.  They stopped making them in 2025.  There are between 114 billion and 300 billion pennies still out there. You can still use them but they are being fazed out.  Some stores are rounding to the nearest nickel now.
It costs 3.7 cents to make a penny.

Beautiful photos, Karen. The robin is a lovely sight.

...In the past we have had male robins fly into our window. I believe that when they see their reflection, they think that it's another male and they become territorial.

Also, it's tail looks a bit shorter than it should be.

It certainly is looking beautiful in your area. What a lovely walk!
We've had the birds fly into our window and then fly away too. I hope the robin was ok.

The photo with the trees on each side reminded me of the road we called here the "tunnel of trees" Part of it washed out now with ll of the flooding. Lots of towns here are flooding out. Hope the robin is alright. Janice

Poor little robin. I hope it was able to fly away later.
I'm guessing the nicer weather had people wanting to do things outside instead of being inside for stitching. Nice that the two of you could sit and chat though.

You have a lovely place to walk, and a busy day! I should take up a needle craft again. It has been years since I made anything, and I was never very good at it. But I did enjoy embroidery very much.
