Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A beautiful sunny day

54 degrees this morning.
Mostly cloudy with a little sun.
Not much wind.
Sunrise 6:36

First walked around both of the cemeteries and then walked back down the road I just drove for a ways before turning around and going back to town.

Walked through town, over to the ball park and around there.
Then it was back to the Jeep and home.

As I walked down the road a truck driver was parked just outside of town checking some things on his truck before leaving town and I felt a nudge to go over to him and hand him a gospel tract.
I walked over to him and said, here's a gospel track for you.
(It was like the one below)
He took it and smiled and said I know and I thank Him every day and He loves you too.  We talked a little bit and he was going to hand the tract back to me and I told him to pass it along.  He said I'll do that and I continued my walk.

Driving home I realized I didn't take any pictures so took a couple on the way home.
Turned on this street from the main road.

Then turned down here and I live at the end of the road.

Ended up having a nice sunny day in the mid 70's and a little breeze.
Perfect weather for drying clothes out on the line so I did.

I baked a cake.๐ŸŽ‚
A white one with chocolate icing.
The cake was from a mix but I made the icing.
I baked the cake in two 8 inch square pans.
Put one of them in the freezer for another time.
I'll have a piece of cake instead of ice cream this evening.

This afternoon Ken cut dead tree down out front and I piled branches on the brush fence.

Sat on the porch to cool off and then came inside and made the pizza dough.๐Ÿ•

It's been another good day and for that I am thankful.
Hope you found the good in your day too.
Thanks for stopping by.

John - I have no problem with not having pennies any more.  I do have a lot of them from my walks though as well as lots of other coins too. ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful shots of the roads you took for home. 70's, that is nice. We might get that warmth soon, too. Our kitchen has been humming with activity because the kids will all be here this weekend. 2 April birthdays to celebrate and then we don't have another one until September. Enjoy your cake this evening!

Sounds like such a good, simple day ๐Ÿ˜Š
Nice walk, a meaningful little conversation, and cake at the end—can’t go wrong with that!

Hope you enjoy your Saturday

The view on your way home was gorgeous.
The "Smile, Jesus love you" reminds me of a young guy I used to work with. If I was having a bad day he would look at me and say "Smile Annie, Jesus loves you." He even wrote me a note one time with it on and I have it saved somewhere.

You live in a beautiful part of the country. And what a nice thing you did by stopping to talk to the truck driver. My brother was on the road for many years and that would have been a welcomed gesture for him. Have a wonderful weekend :)

I have a question . . . Maybe I'm out of the loop but I read what you replied to John about pennies. The other day I was in town and when I got my change back I thought there should have been a few pennies in that but there weren't. Have they stopped using pennies completely?
