Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Tuesday

A nice warm morning at 54 degrees.
It was cloudy at first with no wind and some sun near the end of my walk.

A couple people in comments asked if I carry a flashlight or wear a headlamp when I walk in the dark.

On dark mornings I walk in town on the roads that have streetlights first and then when it's light walk the other places so I don't need a flashlight.

So today started walking under the street lights.
Went through town and to the DG Market where I turned around and came back to town.

By that time it was light enough to walk around the ball park loop and both of the cemeteries.

A couple of Canadian geese walking around in the field.

This morning it was nice to see someone else out.
I saw RuthAnne walking her two dogs.
Up at the cemetery I saw three deer and I'm pretty sure they are the same three that I see out back at the house. (two big ones and a little one)
They were headed out toward my house.
As the crow flows my house is just 1/2 mile away.

😊    🦌    🌤

Washed another load of clothes and got them hung out on the line.
Will be able to that most days from now on.

I ended up working on the puzzle most of the afternoon and got it finished.
This will be the last one for this winter season. 🧩

It was a warm sunny day and when I went to take the clothes off the line stayed outside on the deck for awhile.
Watched the birds at the feeder and watched a couple chipmunks chase each other around.
Hoping I would see the hawk come by and snatch one up but that didn't happen.

We both now have colds so that's what the sore throats were about.
Our colds so far are mild so hopefully will be gone very soon.

It's been a good day and hope yours was too.
Thanks for coming by.
HappyK 🙂

Debbie - Yes, people sometimes do say they didn't like the book.  Me for one! :) We really do discuss the book and people do say what they really think.  We get some good discussions going.

Ginny - No I've not heard of Tortilla Boats!  This is the tortilla shells we use for making the burritos.

Nice puzzle! I have been watching birds here as well. Saw our resident eagle when I was out running errands.

We are seeing more Canadian Geese back now. Just saw my first Redwing Blackbird. A sure sign of Spring around here. Rain on tap for tomorrow again. Janice

That sounds like the same weather we had here this morning. It was warm all day but we got a heavy rain in the afternoon.
Hope those colds don't stick with you for too long.

I actually skipped my walk this morning. I felt so tired that I couldn't imagine walking. Time change? Old age? ( definitely could be the latter. ) I'll get back on track tomorrow.
Nice puzzle. We have one more we want to do before we put the board away.

Hi Karen. I thought about you when the time changed this weekend, knowing that it would be dark again at the time you like to walk. I'm glad that your town is laid out so that you can walk under the streetlights until it gets daylight again.

Sorry to hear about you and Ken having colds. Take care. Praying it doesn't go any further than a cold.
