Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A delightful walk

I drove to town while it was drizzling and I prayed for a nice walk with no rain.
Sometimes God answers our requests right away.
This morning was one of them.
It stopped drizzling as I parked the Jeep.
While walking I watched the sky start to clear.

Then the sun actually came out and for a little while I walked in sunshine.
Even caught this reflection in a puddle.

The last half hour of walking the sun went away and it got overcast again.
The first drops of rain started falling as I got back in the Jeep and it all out rained while I drove home and the rest of the day was rainy.
That's enough to put you in a happy frame of mind for the day!!!

It was 52 degrees and windy as I started my walk going around both of the cemeteries.
Thought about going to visit the cows but the farm road was pretty muddy.

On the way over to the ball park which I walked around I spotted these first little blooms.

Continued walking all around town up and down most of the streets till I had all morning walk steps done.

Very quiet around town again and didn't see anyone else out.

Cleaning continued this morning with the dining room and bedroom.

After lunch we made a trip to town to the library.
Ken had to pick up a few DVD's and a book.
I wasn't going to check out any more books but then I saw two that sounded good.
The Page Turner by Viola Shipman
The Other Mrs by Mary Kubica
Never heard of either author.

I read a little while this afternoon and then worked on the puzzle.
This one is a bit of a challenge but not too hard that it isn't fun.

Ken made us sausages in the slow cooker for supper.
Eating them on a sub roll with sauce.
A couple potato chips on the side will go with it.

That's been my day so far.
Hope your Thursday was a day of happiness.
Thanks so much for coming by today.

Ginny and Ann - There is no sign by the house that says eggs for sale but I'm pretty sure they do.  I asked a while back and though I don't remember the price that was quoted it was a lot so never bought any,

Debby and Deb - Deb you are right Body Electric is the exercise program that was on PBS with Margaret Richards that started back in the 80's.  I discovered it in the 90's and stated doing it then.  I recorded some shows on VCR tape and when I couldn't get it on TV watched my recored ones. Eventually put them on a CD disk. The disk got ruined and for a year or so I didn't do them.  Then discovered Margaret's web site a year or so ago where she has all the shows. I joined for a month, downloaded 7 shows on my computer and now do them again.
It consists of a warm up, exercises with and without light weights, and a cool down.
I don't enjoy it but do it faithfully.  It is a good workout for me and I feel so good when it's over!! πŸ™‚
Yes, I still walk when I do Body Electric.  Morning walk I take a least 10,000 steps and do Body Electric 3 times a week.

That was a wonderful answer to prayer. The photo of the reflection in the puddle is so pretty. God showing beauty in the storm!

How nice that you had a good walk. Those little yellow flowers are so cute. Could they be Winter Aconites?

Oh, the Lord is so good! He shines on us all the time. Thank you for answering my friend's prayer.
Sounds like a nice day. Sausages in the slow cooker on subs sounds so good and a perfect cozy meal.

When did you start walking? Have you always did 10,000 steps?

It rained all day here and our driveway was a huge pond. If it had been snow who knows how much it would have been. Janice

God is so good! We don't have to look far to see answers to prayers big and small. I admire you for walking and doing Body Electric! You must be in great shape. I do a little workout routine in the morning before school and then walk at night. Exercise helps me wake up in the morning and deal with the stresses of the day. We have had a lot of rain here this week. Still no snow, but there was some in the mountains. We'll take whatever moisture God sends! See you again tomorrow!
