Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Drizzle

A light misty drizzly walk this morning around town.
48 degrees and no wind.
Sunrise 6:45 but didn't see any hint of the sun.

Walked up and down the main road in town up and town all the side streets.

Then it was over to the ball park and walked around there a couple of times.

There are now 16 chickens and the rooster and they were all out in the yard.
I noticed the addition of two brown chickens.
Got a picture of one of them there on the left.

Very quiet around town and didn't see any one else out.

As you can see all of our snow is now gone except for piles like this in parking lots.

I walked a round the lower cemetery once and by that time had all my steps in so didn't make it around the other cemetery.

Didn't have my rain pants and coat on so was on the damp side by the time I was done walking.
Weather report on my phone said no rain till afternoon but the misty drizzly rain had already started when I left the house.

🌧    🥾    😊

After getting a load of wash on the drying rack we left to go food shopping at Walmart.
Last week we had just picked up a few things so had a lot to get this week.
Got home put everything away and had lunch.

This afternoon I cleaned the rest of the living room, did my exercise (BodyElectric)
and then it was time for a little reading and knitting.

Tonights supper is spaghetti and a salad.
Simple but good.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.
Hope your Wednesday was a super one.

Deb - We have a furnace that uses propane for the house.  The gas stove is a bonus.  Just nice to have it for the cozy look.  We tried heating the house with it but it is just too hot.  The living room gets super hot and the bedroom and office are too cold.  It is great to have when the power goes off!

Picocolina - Hello and welcome.  Thanks for leaving a comment.😊

My gramma had brown hens. Spaghetti sounded good. Bob made us vegetable beef soup with garlic bread tonight. You had drizzle, and we had fog. Janice

So sweet to see the chickens, dear Karen! Here in Montreal it was partly sunny, partly cloudy, mild and gorgeous.
I do love rain photos!!! Thank you so much for sharing.

Are the chickens kept for eggs? Are the eggs then sold?

...snow can come quickly and leave just as fast!

That's a lot of chicken. I'm wondering the same thing Ginny is, if they sell the eggs. There are several people around here who sell them.
