Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A pretty sunrise

Beautiful morning for walking today.
28 degrees, no wind, and a mix of sun and clouds.
Sunrise is now 7:15

Walked around town where I could without walking on ice or snow.
Made a stop at the library again and put another couple of books down the drop.

Then walked down the main road back towards home with a detour going up Sale Barn Road.

You can see the long barn in the picture on the right in the picture.

Then it was back up the road to town.
There was a flag man on the main road in town and one way traffic.
Work being done on the water pipes.

🌤    🥾    🙂

Food shopping 🛒 day at Walmart and we went first thing this morning.

Stopped at the library AGAIN and came home with more books and DVD's.
We would sure be lost without our town library. 📚

Put a bunch of chicken in the slow cooker.
Shredded it up to use in different meals.

We finished the latest puzzle 🧩 and I sewed another row of weave-it squares on to the baby blanket I'm making.
There are 7 squares to a row and I now have 4 rows done.
There are a total of 10 rows.

Did a little reading too and now it's time to get supper.
Having chicken burritos with some of the chicken made in the slow cooker earlier.

Hope you had a wonderful Monday and thanks for coming by.

What a beautiful sunrise! Those early morning walks sure pay off.
My library is about a 15-minute drive away and I haven't gone there in person very much. I was checking out eBooks through Libby but I just don't enjoy reading from a device very much. So, I'm going to start going there and checking them out the old fashioned way!

Love the pictures, but I did get cold. LOL You are amazing with your dedication to the walk. And YEP, on the AI picture on the Shipslog, Yes, I smiled big at that. Anyway. Love from a warming Florida.

The sky with the different shades of yellow is gorgeous! And the row of trees completes the scene beautifully.
