Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A warm up

The warm up has begun!
Though it was only 3 degrees when I got up so didn't go walking in town, it was supposed to be warming up.

I waited till it was 19 degrees at 10:30 and went to town then for my walk.
There was no wind and the sun was shining so it was wonderful to be outside walking.

Walked around town where I could, up and down the side streets.

Stopped at the library to drop off a couple of books and DVD's

Went up to the cemetery but it is still covered in snow so no walking there.
I did go down the road to the Drane house and the one barn.
Stayed away from the long barn because the tractor was going back and forth delivering the bales of hay to the cows.

Walking back up the hill from the Drane house here.

Walking past the post office I saw Mikey (from stitching) arriving with a package to mail.  She was there to mail a blanket that she knitted for someone.  We had a little chat and said you Saturday. 🙂

The more I walked the warmer it got.
Ended up taking off a layer,
then my hat, then another layer.
When I got back to the Jeep to leave for home it was 35 degrees!!  A heat wave.

🙂    🥾    ☀️

Did some house chores in the morning before walking.

Didn't feel much like doing any more house work today so enjoyed a nice afternoon
puttering about the house.
I mostly read The Judge's List, hard to put down. Will certainly be finishing it later!!

Hope you had a wonderful Monday.
Thanks for coming by.

The sky is gorgeous in the first photo, and I love the tree shadows on the snow in the last photo. You take mostly the same walks every day, yet always come up with different and beautiful photos!

It is warming up here too! I was outside without a coat on, enjoying a long walk. I am so glad for a turn in the weather!

Hi Karen. It's good that it warmed up enough for you to walk outside. Pretty pictures of the snow and blue skies. I am off to look up that book that you said you were having a hard time putting down! See you again tomorrow.
