Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Outside

Another cold morning but the sun was out again.
πŸ₯ΎWalked 4,000 steps down in the basement.
Sunrise is now 7:33.

After breakfast we went to church and took the Roman's books off the alter and loaded them on a pallet in the trailer.
Now they are ready to be taken to Bedford, PA which we will probably do next week.
There are 84 boxes each containing 420 books.
We always put them on the alter where we pray over them before they go on their way.

We got back home a little after 11:00.
πŸ₯ΎSince the sun was out and it warmed up to 28 degrees I drove to town and walked  around town and both of the cemeteries.
I was there at 12:00 so got to hear the church bells chime!!
Every day at 12:00 the bells chime 4 hymns.

Near the end of my walk it started to get windy, the clouds took over and by the time I was home it was snowing again.

🌨️Hard to believe I saw this out the bedroom window after walking in the sunshine!!

πŸ§ΆπŸ“šMore reading and knitting this afternoon.

Supper tonight is steak, cheese, and fried onion sandwiches!!  Yummy!

It's been another good day and hope yours was too.
Thanks for coming by.

Glad you were able to walk outside some today. We were supposed to have rain, then snow and back to rain. Guess it just decided to snow instead.πŸ™‚❄️❄️. Your church is so pretty, Karen.

Good that you could walk outside ... nice to see some blue sky.
Ours here in the UK was very grey today.

We have a replica of old Spanish-California mission that rings its bells every hour. It's charming.

I love that you pray over the books before sending them on.
That was a pretty walk today.
Our daughter has a church near her home that plays hymns on the bells at 12pm and 6 pm. It's so pretty to hear.

Your supper sounds delicious. It snowed here for a while today too but most of the day wasn't bad. Glad you were able to get out and walk today

Hi Karen. I love the picture of your church with all of the boxes of finger prints books ready to be prayed over. I think that is a wonderful thing! I walked outside today too, but it was in the low 40s - no where near as cold as where you are. We have no snow and are going for the driest winter on record. Not good when we really need the water from the snow. See you again tomorrow!
