Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

ABC Friday

When I got to town and started walking it was a warm 44 degrees.
It was cloudy and saw the sun too once it rose.

Had a nice walk around town and over to the industrial park.
Then it was around the ball park a couple of times.

Nice to see the chickens out again.
It's been a while.

Continued to the cemeteries and just walked around the lower one
because I had all my steps in already.

🌤    🥾    🐓    🙂

Made a big batch of pancakes this morning.
We had them with blueberries.
Put the rest in the freezer for future breakfasts.

Finished Dale's throw blanket yesterday.
Now I look forward to giving it to him.

Finished up this weeks house work and then
worked on the puzzle for a while.

We haven't been having our home made pizza on
Friday's for a while but today we are getting back on track.
The dough is just about done rising and Ken will
be making the pizza very soon.

MY ABC'S

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Sometimes pictures, sometimes just words but it will be something about me.

🏓 P IS FOR PING PONG 🏓

I thought about puzzles or pizza but that's nothing new about me.
You know I like both.

So I chose Ping Pong.

Most people call it table tennis but I've always called it Ping Pong.

I used to play it all the time with my dad when I was a little girl.
He got a Ping Pong table from someone he worked who gave it to us.
My dad set it up in the basement and we spent many
happy hours playing it together.
He taught me how to make a killer serve which I can still do to this day.

Hoping you're having a super good day.
Thanks for stopping by.

I used to play ping pong with the youth group but they were all well able to beat me, but it was fun. Usually though I just got to keep score.

Beautiful photos! I couldn't wait to tell you I went for my walk today!! It was so nice and we were returning from the vet. We pulled into the driveway and I said to Steve, "I am going for my walk!" It was later in the day than I like to go, but I will take what I can get in January! I don't know who was more excited, Me or Mocha! Happy weekend, my friend!

Growing up we had a pool table, ping pong and a tether ball in the backyard.

Whenever you post a picture of the chickens I always count them. I believe there are an even dozen hens and a rooster. Am I right?

Hi Karen! What a great memory you shared today! I love your ABC Fridays. I call it Ping-Pong too. I used to play with friends who had a table, but I was never any good at it. The throw blanket you made is beautiful. Dale will love it! Hope you have a good weekend.

Oh yes.... table tennis. *lol* My husband and son used to play ping pong every week, at a place in South Bend, IN. It was about a 40 minute drive but they loved playing so it didn't matter. They played on the team with the coach of the Olympic table tennis team....and some of the players also. There were little children playing who could barely see over the edge of the table but could beat adults with ease! Love, Andrea xoxo
