37 degrees yesterday morning for walking.
Started out cloudy but saw the sun too.
Had a nice walk around town, the ball park loop, and both cemeteries.
Wreaths have been put on all the veterans graves.
Found a penny.
⛅️ 💰 🙂
Yesterday was a busy one.
Left right after breakfast to go to church for a morning
of making blankets and pillows.
We usually do Fingerprints the 3rd Thursday and Friday
but since next week is Christmas we did
Fingerprints then too.
Blankets ended at 12:00 and then we did fingerprints.
Ken and I both went and while I was at blankets he got set up
and started Fingerprints.
Worked from 12:00 to 6:00.
By the time we got home and finished eating I just wanted
to sit in my chair and knit.
So no post yesterday.
🎄 ☃️ 🎅🏻
It rained all night and this morning my walk was a drizzly one.
It was 42 degrees and windy.
Walked around the ball park, one of the cemeteries and all around town.,
Looks like the woodpecker has been busy again.
Didn't see anyone else out walking but a couple people I see
driving in the morning stopped to say Merry Christmas to me.
I thought that was so nice!!
🌧 🚶♀️ 🙂 🚗
After breakfast it was another Fingerprint work day at church.
We were there from 9:00 - 3:00.
Had a good turn out and got lots done.
We were hoping we could get 100,000 done for the year and
and with God behind us WE DID IT!!
and a bit more.
100,215
Quite an accomplishment for our little church.
The weather turned cold and very windy with snow and ice
falling as we drove back home.
Sure glad to be home and save in a nice warm house.

M is for Mailman
I know now they are called letter carries but I remember
when they were mailmen.
When I was a little girl our mailman was John and he walked
the route with a mailbag that was on wheels that he pushed along.
During the summer when I didn't have school many days
when he got to our house I would walk the rest of John's mail route with him.
As we walked we talked and he told me many stories.
Sometimes my friend Timmy would go with us too but mostly
it was just me.
I really enjoyed those walking times with John.
Hope you all had a wonderful day.
Thanks for stopping by.

Dear Karen, your photos are lovely. We got a lot of rain 🌧 here in Montreal today, with strong winds and some areas have lost power. Thankfully not in my area, so far at least.
Nice to see the veterans being remembered.
I like that they decorate the graves, very touching.
That woodpecker is crazy!
I love your mailman memories.
How lovely to place wreaths on the veterans graves.
All the best Jan
The wreaths on the graves are a nice touch at Christmas. We didn't have mailman we had postmen and it's been shortened to postie. You're having a very busy pre Christmatime.
