Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Saturday

Sunrise from Thursday

Wasn't sure what the walking condition in town would be after
the snow and ice from yesterday so walked inside this morning

Stitching morning at the library with the ladies.
On the way to the library made me glad I didn't try
to walk in town this morning.
There were 8 of us stitching.
Everyone brought little gifts that we gave each other.
Had a nice time chatting and stitching.
We've become good friends during these Saturday mornings.
I picked out a baby blanket from church that one of the ladies made
to give to Jalene for her soon to be new grandson.
They live on a farm so I chose this one.
She loved it.

I started knitting a pair of mittens. ๐Ÿงถ
A friend from church asked me if I would knit a pair of mittens for her husband.
He goes to dialysis 3 days a week and his hands are always cold.
Told her I'd be happy to but might not get them done by Christmas.
I'll give it a good try though.

Came home lunch time and had all these things I planned to do
but ended up working on the latest puzzle for quite a while.

Came home with a couple books from the library and look
forward to starting one of them this evening.

David is coming over for supper and I'm making Manicotti.
He his on his own for a while since Liz is in Florida with her daughter.

It warmed up again in the 40's during the day and most of the ice and
snow is gone again.

Hope you had a delightful Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by.

The blanket is so cute! Glad you had a nice time with your Sat morning friends.
It warmed up here too and finally the ice is melting.
Now I'm off to check your manicotti recipe. Hope you had a nice time with David.

That cheerful cow blanket makes me smile. Yes, Christ is my rock, I like that illustration of the lighthouse you posted. Merry Christmas.
