Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Warm outside walk

Nice being able to walk outside this morning.
Hard to believe it was so cold the last few days when
today it was 40 degrees when I walked.
It was cloudy and very windy.

Walked over to the library in a round about way to
drop off a DVD and a book.
A very haphazard walk all around town avoiding the slippery spots.
Every thing is melting and leaving a sloppy mess which can be slippery.

Here are a few pictures of where I DID NOT walk.
On the sidewalks down the main street.

Those are my footprints.
Was going to walk around the cemetery but was slippery so didn't get very far.

Didn't look so good around the other cemetery either.

Didn't see any other people out walking about.

☁️    ☃️    🎄    🙂

Food shopping day at Walmart and we got that over with
first thing this morning.

Did a load of wash and that's all the house chores I did.
Spent the rest of the afternoon finishing up making
the diamond art ornaments.
You can see them

That's it for this post.
Hope you had a wonderful day.
Thanks much for coming by.

I just checked out your diamond art ornaments, they're very pretty. Diamond art is very therapeutic I find. A grand daughter gave me a small picture a wee while ago and i really enjoyed doing it.

Glad you are warming up a bit. I haven't tried diamond art, but my daughter enjoys it.

I'm sure it was nice to be able to walk outside but very wise to carefully avoid the slippery spots.

All the best Jan

Dear Karen, your photos are beautiful! Last night and also on Monday evening I took a lovely walk after supper! I got some beautiful photos which I will be sharing on my future blog posts. The temperatures have been milder here as in minus 6 Celsius as opposed to minus 22, which we had before that. It is always milder when it snows. And I do love the snow. I also love seeing the Christmas decorations and lights around Montreal.

...we had a thaw today, with perhaps more thawing tomorrow. Be well.

Once again our temperatures were the same. We didn't notice the wind so much until we walked on the bridge over the lake where the wind really tugged at us. NO RAIN TODAY!!!!

I bet it was refreshing to get out and about. I received a Diamond art project last year from a church friend after I broke my leg. It was very calming to me...I don't know why. But at the time I was very anxious about my injury. Be careful on the snow and ice.

For me, it's the wind that would keep me inside. Burrr,

It was 40 here today too. All of your ornaments look great.

Your ornaments are beautiful. I'm sure the people you give them too will love them. The shiny street photo looks very slick, I wouldn't even think about walking it.

Oh my goodness, the ornaments are gorgeous! I want them myself. Where did you buy them? I'm so glad you're being careful walking!

So nice to be able to get outside again. That slushy stuff is slippery though!
It's warmer here too but we're supposed to have another storm tomorrow night.

It reached 47 here yesterday. It is suppose to rain today with the same temp. It will melt our snow now which I wanted for Christmas. :-( however the ice will go away. Janice

That was quite the warm-up. It's good you avoided some sloppy slippery areas. We might get some snow today. We had wind and rain and even some sunshine yesterday! Hope you have a good Thursday.

Brrr! It sure does look cold and slippery! We're warming up a bit around here. Supposed to be in the low 60s on Christmas Day. No white Christmas for us this year! Stay safe and warm.

Enjoyed visiting today! Goodness, 40* is a good jump from the 20"s. 80* is forecast for us by Sunday. {{sigh}}

Hi Karen. You made a lot of diamond ornaments, and they are really beautiful. Will you put some on your Christmas tree, as well as giving them away? Glad you got to walk outside. Still no snow here, although we got some rain yesterday.

Hey Karen - just checking in. Hope you are doing ok, as you don't have a new post up like usual.
