Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Sunday

 Happy Sunday

Woke up to more snow with it still coming down
and it was 7 degrees.
A walk inside for me this morning.

Couldn't get out of the driveway so couldn't make it to church.
Thankfully we could watch Sunday school and church on line.

Just finished lunch and are on our way outside to dig our way out.
Ken on the tractor and me with the shovel.
Want to shovel a path to the bird feeder.
Still snowing!!

🌨️    ☃️    🌨️

This is a good hymn for this snowy Sunday.

🎶 Whiter Than Snow 🎶
James Nicholson
Tune - William G Fisher

1. Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;
I want Thee forever to live in my soul,
Break down every idol, cast out every foe;
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Refrain:
Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow,
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

2. Lord Jesus, look down from Thy throne in the skies,
And help me to make a complete sacrifice;
I give up myself, and whatever I know,
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

3. Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat,
I wait, blessed Lord, at Thy crucified feet;
By faith, for my cleansing I see Thy blood flow,
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

4. Lord Jesus, Thou seeest I patiently wait,
Come now, and within me a new heart create;
To those who have sought Thee, Thou never saidst "No,"
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

📖 Isaiah 1:18 📖
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:
though your sins be as scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

A Blessed Sunday to all.

It snowed a lot here in Montreal as well, Karen. I love your snow photo!

This IS a great hymn for a snowy day. Be careful out there! It is almost this cold here as well.

Sounds like the same kind of morning I've had here. It snowed on and off all morning

You've shared another good, old song.
It was 0 degrees here this morning and it was snowing but we made it to church.
It's still snowing, but it that pretty, gently falling snow. We're supposed to go caroling tonight - we go visit the shut ins from church and bring them goodie bags. I hope that still happens!

Hello,
It was the same here, very cold and snowing.
It is great you had your church service online.
Hubby and I were out with our shovels and thankfully our neighbor came by and finished our driveway with his plow.
Have a great day and happy week ahead.

Your side of the country is getting a lot of snow. We are still in a rainy pattern that doesn't bode well for our overflowing rivers! You are the 2nd blogger who couldn't dig out in time for church yesterday! Wonderful song to ponder while looking at the snow fall!

I guess with your 7 degrees, I won't complain about my 14 degrees! LOL
No snow here. We had a faint promise of snow flurries but none of that either. I'm so glad of technology that allows us to "attend church" at home when we're unable to get to church. Stay warm and safe.
