Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Christmas Day

The service at church last night was so nice.
We usually get in a big circle and it starts with one lit candle
and each person lights the candle of the person next to them.
This year we did it a little different.
All the lights were turned off and Pastor lit one candle up front
representing Jesus, the Light of the world.
Then the 'shepherds' came forward to light their candles.
Then they lit other peoples candles, then those people lit other candles
till all had their candles glowing.
Showing how we all try to pass the Light which is Jesus one by one.
It was very touching.

Having a nice quiet Christmas with us and David.

Philippians 2:5-11

5. Let this mind be in you,
which was also in Christ Jesus:

6. Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7. But made himself of no reputation,
and took upon him the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men:

8. And being found in fashion as a man,
he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death,
even the death of the cross.

9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,
and given him a name which is above every name:

10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of things in heaven,
 and things in earth,
 and things under the earth;

11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

I hope you, David, and the rest of the family are having a wonderful, quiet day together. And how exciting for Liz! Waiting on a grandchild is a pretty amazing way to spend Christmas, even if she is far away in Florida.

Merry Christmas! I hope the rest of your day is just as peaceful and bright as that service.
