Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A winter day

The wind continues this morning, but now add
16 degree temperature and snow.
So once again no morning walk.

We drove down to Oakland and went to the Walmart
for our food shopping for the week.
Here we are just leaving the house.

Walking all around Walmart was a good test for my inserts.
My heel felt almost normal.

At home put away all the groceries and then it was lunch time.

This afternoon we drove to town and went to the library.
Brought home a couple of DVS's and a book.

Fun watching the birds at the feeder.
They cling to the feeder and with the wind blowing them around
they must think that they are on an amusement park ride!!!

Knitted, read, and puzzled this afternoon too.
It's been snowing all day.

That's all I have for today.
Thanks for visiting and hope you had a wonderful day.

We had that wind here yesterday. It was awful. Glad to hear the inserts worked. Walking around Walmart was a good way to test them out.

I'm happy to read your heel felt good with the insert. I'm happy to be able to say that I am one of the redeemed and say so!

Those inserts work very well. Boy it looks cold out on your road...I don't own any heavy coats - I really should get one for going up to the snow. I'd be more comfortable.

Happy New Year, Karen. I woke up to 3˚F and 2 pups rushing to go out to go potty. I am so glad we enclosed/gated our small back patio this past Fall. I didn't have to get all bundled up and put the dogs on a leash to walk them in this weather. I hope you and your hubby have a blessed, wonderful 2026, xo Diana

I am so glad to hear that your heel is feeling almost normal after your walk around Walmart yesterday (today is Wednesday). I thought I had stopped by yesterday, but apparently not. :) This wind and cold can do that to a person. lol

I'm glad the heel inserts are working! Our daughter got us a smart bird feeder for Christmas. I am looking forward to putting it up in the Spring.
