Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Pumpkin and Apple

It was 50 degrees this morning for walking.
Started out a bit drizzly but it soon stopped and was just cloudy.
At the end of my walk I even saw some blue sky.

I walked all around town and then the ball park
and both of the cemeteries.

The chickens were all down by their coop.
The man whose chickens they are came out to feed them
and he was at the opposite end of the yard.
Well, you should have seen them take off running to the
man to get their food.
It was so funny watching them all run at top speed.
That was the highlight of my walk.

Other than that it was very quite around town.

🌧    🐓    ☁️    😊

After breakfast I got right into baking.
After all these years I can make a decent crust.😊
Made a Pumkin Pie and
a Deep Dish Apple Pie

By the time I was done and had the kitchen cleaned up
in was time for lunch.

Had a leisurely afternoon doing what I love to do,
knit and read.

Hope your day was most enjoyable.
Thanks for popping in.

Real pumpkin or canned? I have done both. Both were good. 🙂 Niece is making desserts this year.

I would have enjoyed seeing those chickens run too.
Your pies look good. I made a pumpkin pie, a chocolate dessert and some rolls today.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Your pies look good! Seeing chickens run is pretty funny. They are very food motivated.

What time is dinner? Those pies looks scrumptious. Wish it was 50 here. It is snowing and blowing here currently. Janice

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Ken. Your pies look yummy. I made a pumpkin pie and a Dutch Apple pie today to take to Carroll's brothers house tomorrow.

I have a little kitchen sign that states Life is Short, Eat Dessert first. That must have been what Tom was thinking.
Your pies look so good.
